The yamaha Ats1080 refurb is the better buy for the same price. It has HDMI ARC, and a subwoofer out. This Bose lacks those.

So why would someone go for this? It seems as though this doesn't have the best reviews for sound, it lacks connectivity (no HDMI ARC), and doesn't support a lot of formats (i.e. DTS)
Your TV has Digital Optical Output (3rd from top) and you should be able to connect the soundbar to your TV.

If your TV has Optical Out (either SPDIF or Coaxial) that would be better. Else, you could always use a RCA stereo wire for the connection.

Yeah, this old model that doesn't have HDMI ARC. The new "Bose TV Speaker [bose.com]" which might be the replacement for this model and has optical and HDMI ARC connections only.

The yamaha Ats1080 refurb is the better buy for the same price. It has HDMI ARC, and a subwoofer out. This Bose lacks those.

The Yamaha is slightly better because of the sub out, but not refurb from deal parade?! When amazon had them factory renewed with full warranty for $100, then yes.

Thanks...but the Samsung TV I'm going to connect it to only has two (w) HDMI connectors (see pic in my previous post). But it does have some USB connectors. Is there a USB to HDMI cord/connector I can use that would work here?
