This is very much not true. I have had a Spark, Air, and now the Air 2, and I have not had anywhere I could not fly yet. LAANC requests for most places you would need it are quick. Mine have been almost immediate. I don't fly near airports or national parks. You can take off outside of a national park and capture flyovers as well, you just cannot take off from inside the park. I have tons of flight time and videos of great places like Goblin Valley, UT, Jackson Wyoming, etc.

They place restrictions on the drone based on FAA airspace. You can check online via the DJI map to see if places you would fly have restrictions. https://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-map

Don't let someone's vast misrepresentation of the truth scare you away. It's an amazing device.

This is untrue. I have never had to request anything to take off. It might be due to the other user's location. Download the Kittyhawk app and check the flight restrictions in your area before you buy if you are concerned.

Love my Mavic Air 2. I upgraded from Mavic Air. Still missing some settings from the MA1. hoping they will add them as time progresses.

Here is a short clip I shot last weekend. Had duck fly by really close. I slowed it down in the clip so you can see it at 50 second mark or so.

I just spoke to Amazon and they rep. He says they can't credit me the difference. He says to just order a new one and return the original. Lol.
