Thanks for including the original deal link back from March (when I bought it). So it only took CDKeys 3.5 months to drop their price back to where it was before. How nice of them!
I'm still waiting on a few other games I missed which spiked in price (a few dollars) to come back to where they were before. I'm not sure what caused this summer price spike... perhaps it was all the people stuck at home creating too much demand for game keys... or maybe it's just more COVID19 greed I'm witnessing at lots of retailers.
I'd probably wait until the mega all dlc game goes on sale. The dlc is sweet sauce and well worth it.
The only DLC for Dishonored 2 was pre order DLC which was mostly cosmetic. Unless you're thinking of Dishonored 1 which I agree, is absolutely vital - or perhaps you mean the Death of the Outsider game which is a separate standalone expansion and also well worth playing.
Played the first Dishonored the day it released, but never got around to this 2nd installment. Looking forward to the high praise, especially some of the supposedly mind-bogglingly crazy level design. Same goes for Titanfall 2 now that it's on Steam, too.
I ain't played the 2nd Dishonored yet, but a MAJOR difference from the Thief games was the much wimpier way in which stealth was implemented.
In Dishonored, you could peek around corners to a ridiculous degree, and STILL not be spotted. It was so absurd Penny Arcade mocked the mechanic in one of their comic strips. In the Thief games, peeking was nowhere near as ezmode.
Thief's stealth mechanics are like Dark Soulsborne combat; challenging with a lot of risk/reward on the line. Dishonored's stealth is like Assassin's Creed combat; not particularly difficult and the penalty for mistakes is low.
Loved Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow & Chaos Theory. Would I like this?
Either way, probably not buying soon since I know it'll drop more in the future & probably end up in some kind of multi-key pack, or $1 in some years... but just curious what people think
