All Tetra and Marineland open glass aquariums from 2.5-40g are on sale for $1/gallon at PetSmart. The sale is in-store only. Our area was hit hard with tank purchases during the pandemic and many are OOS, so YMMV.
You can check a few using these links (Again, sale prices not reflected online.):
Tetra 2.5g [petsmart.com]
Tetra 10g [petsmart.com]
Tetra 20g [petsmart.com]
Tetra 40g [petsmart.com]
Unlike Petco, this sale includes 2.5g, 5g, and 40g tanks.
Petco is rumored to be having their $1/gallon (10-29g) Aqueon sale (Read it here on SD. Thanks, swineflu22.) this Sunday, 07/12. Other Aqueon tanks should be 50% off. In March, Petco's 40g was $50 and their 55g was $70.

Off topic addenda: Anyone in the greater Sacramento region know a good affordable source for much larger tanks--like a 5ft or 6ft in the 100-300 gallon size? I see people selling them on Craigslist once in a while but I don't know where they get them in the first place.
Also like to find a source for some of the oddball sizes that are growing in popularity like the 33 gallon long which has the same footprint as a 55-gal.

PetSmart is going to be your best bet for larger, affordable standardized sizes. Unfortunately this hobby is like most that the more niche the product, the more expensive it likely is. You may be able to get a local glass manufacturer to custom make a tank but it's likely going to be the same price or higher and won't come with any warranty that covers filling with water.

I water test all my tanks before I put them to use.

Hahah I'm actually in the same area looking for the same thing....
I have a stand for a 75g, but I want to head towards a 150g to 180g to replace my 40, 15, and 5g. One big tank to rule them all. Lol
Just tired of the small tanks and I think one big one would be much nicer. I'm too wondering about it because I'm seeing these beautiful stands/tanks for 2k+ and that's just too rich for my blood. Lol
Tempted to move to saltwater, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for that yet.
All the same

Usually when you get to that size tank you are looking at someone like Planet Aquariums (formerly Oceanic), Red Sea, Waterbox Aquariums or a custom builder..
