If you get rejected sometimes there are errors in their automation side or just simply discrepancies. I have always called the reconsideration lines for credit agencies and sometimes even gotten approved over the phone.
At the least it will tell you why you got denied and it will be a learning experience. In this specific case: Always call

Nope. No referral for chase freedom anymore.
Correct. $500 in purchases, doesn't matter if you pay them off right after or carry a balance

Pretty awesome product change. Regular Chase freedom is being changed to Chase Freedom Flex Mastercard, with the same percentages as above, but 1% for regular purchases and the 5% rotating categories each quarter.

This is so awesome! Just to confirm, they haven't taken away the 5% for groceries have they? What an amazing card.
Yes, it should. This is a very common tactic to transfer balances and have 0apr.
$200 bonus is when you Siena the $500 criteria. 5% cash back is an additional monthly/quarterly perk. 2 different thing.

I recently was denied the unlimited. After calling the reconsideration line (and getting no real response) I thought I'd wait for the paper denial to see what it said. Never received.
With these new benefits I've gone from "nice to have card to pay monthly bills with" to "that's a nice card I'd really like to have".
I already have the CSR which I got like 4 months ago so one reason no clue why was denied. So having the Freedom will be a nice compliment
Should I call them and shift credit from existing CSP or CF?
