Can you link to a slicker deal than bundle 2?
I'm not saying someone has it at a lower price.

My point is that if you search "klipsch" on SD, you'll see pages of posts by iconian/Adorama, and they're always for the same price (depending on the product listed, of course), but possibly dropping $50 or so every few months.

But this one was just posted a few days ago for the same price.

If a product is always on the same site for the same price, there's no reason these should continue showing up on the FP of SD.

Unless it's sponsored and being artificially pushed to the top, which is the only explanation that makes sense.

Several have mentioned the sub is mediocre. What would be a good match in the $3-400 range that you'd recommend instead? Also the other speakers I was looking at was a q-acoustics set. Would the Klipsch be better?

Every now and then the SVS PB-1000 goes on sale for $399. It is generally considered to be one of the best, if not the best, subwoofer for under $500.

Thanks for the recommendation. I had been eying that one and would be fine with a bit more for quality. Any recommendation for a receiver with this set? Was looking at a Yamaha RX-V685.

2 JBL sub 550p's can be had for $369 if you sign up for JBLs email list and use the $30 off of $350+ coupon code. Otherwise they are on sale for $199 each.

Well 1st you would be hard pressed to put together a new 7.1 SVS bundle for $949.

Sound wise you are comparing two different sounding speakers.
Keep in mind these fall under Klipsch's lower end model also.

Whether the difference is worth the extra money is completely up to each person after listening to both(ideally).
Totally forgot the floorstanding speakers have those "height" speakers integrated into them. I have these Klipsch floorstanding speakers and find those ceiling firing speakers don't seem to do much for me.

Currently I have the klipsch nakamichi 7.2 sound bar system, is bundle 2 that much better? I like having 2 subs, but maybe it's overkill?

I don't think they were pointing to a specific SVS bundle on here, they were just wanting a comparison to same speaker count bundle from SVS.

You will have a hard time building a similar SVS bundle for close to the same price.

Would this system be sufficient for a 12 x 16 feet room? Also, would the Dolby Atmos feature work with an angled ceiling?
These should work fine in that room provided your amp has the power for it. Would not recommend upfiring Atmos with angled ceilings. You'd be better off mounting front height bookshelves on your front wall with angle brackets that point them down toward the seating, as long as your receiver supports it. Rear heights can be done similarly.

I remember last couple years it was the Harmon Kardon deals being pushed and now it seems like Klipch won the contract. I asked iconian if these are paid deals but he claimed they aren't. He must be the greatest deal finder of all time.

and they make front page status every time with about 20 votes, when other deals with 100 or even 200 votes don't get the same treatment.

Yes and many many people have gotten great "deals" thru his post.

There are only few yahoos that try to paint that as a bad "deal".

Most people understand that has pretty much nothing to do with whether it's a "deal"or not.

Harmon still comes up almost as often yet those yahoos don't say anything about that 🤔

Sure sounds like there is a shady agenda there 🤔

Question for those audio nerds out there, I have some satellite style speakers from JBL setup in a 5:1 it was their nicer series from way back (maybe 10 years ago)... I upgraded the receiver last year to a TSR-7850R wanted to maybe upgrade the speakers this year, does that receiver match up with these speakers or just not enough power to push them or not support some audio protocol?
For reference room is about 12x15ish, flat ceiling and actually in an ICF house so the walls /ceiling completely dampen any sound to the outside. 70'' tv we sit about 10ft back from. I ran cables to the back of the room when we built it down from the ceiling for the rears that are mounted there but I do not have any ran to the sides.
Was looking at the comments and would likely go with bundle 2 it sounds like and wait for a deal on a good sub to match (around BF hopefully) and just use the JBL until then..
I love the way a good system sounds, actually worked at best buy in the home theatre dept way back in college. I however did not keep up at all with anything after leaving that job and am clueless to what's a good setup on about a $1000 budget for the speakers.
