According to price trackers, this is usually between $120-130 on Amazon. Pre-covids, it had gone as low as $100 (seems like an eternity ago).

It was also $105 once in July from Newegg (eww, Newegg), $113 in June from Newegg, and $108 in May from WD directly. So, this is an excellent price if you're wanting one today, it's in the range of the best pricing during covids.
Have both SN550 and SN750

SN550 boots faster and loads games faster

SN750 writes twice as fast and maintains speed better over time, gets a bit too hot at times

If you're going to be video editing for example get the SN750, normal usage go with SN550 it's like a SATA 3 SSD on steroids.
Yeah there's still a sector that uses SATA III lol. Not everybody has access to an M.2 port, nor do they have any real need for an NVMe drive over a SATA drive.

Most gen pop usage will never see a performance benefit from an NVMe over a SATA SSD.

SN750 runs at 10-15 deg C higher than all my other NVME. I would not buy another SN750.

I love my SN750's and there are performance reasons to choose it and spend more. Yes, it has hit 121.50 when wd.com sells it for 134.99 and offers 10% off.

Wouldn't a heatsink fix any heat issues?

Can you suggest if heat sink helps with NVME heat issues? For desktop is heat sink reccomended?

Question. Why is it that SATA 3 SSD's are similarly priced to NVMe SSD's. Is it due that there is a market still for older The SATA 3 interface?
