Home Depot Deal of the day DeWalt Flexvolt circ saw or Recip saw 2 6AH batts and 887 impact driver $379

Home Depot Deal of the day covers cordless tools with Rigid being the headliner. But they also have a "deal" on the Flexvolt sidewinder circular saw, two 6AH Flexvolt batts (4 AH charger) AND an 887 20 volt impact driver and a bag. This is one of the higher rated impact drivers with three speeds and lights and very decent torque. The sidewinder circular saw is one of two FlexVolt circular saws and is very good for the homeowner who does some serious DIYing.

This is NOT the very best deal but for this time of year OK. AND, of interest, is that they are putting a relatively low level 4AH charger the 115 in on the deal. This is new, I believe on this kind of deal. They used to put the 6AH or commonly the 12AH fast charger. In fact on the second deal below that switches out the circ saw for the recip 60 volt, they DO have the fast charger. That may be a better deal if only for that and IF you need that kind of saw vs the circ saw.

6.0ah vs 2.0ah batteries offered in the deal you listed. the 2ah might work well for a drill or driver but seems pointless in a circ saw

Edit: my post is incorrect. same batteries in both deals

Two batteries only. Each battery is 6ah @ 20v or also known as 2ah @ 60v

This video explains pretty simply the difference with some data from the comparison.

I bought this kit from Home Depot for $299 last year. Looks like prices are going up now!

Love both of these tools, they never skipped a beat when doing my deck rebuild this year. The optional rip fence (DW3278) was also invaluable for me since I don't own a table saw (yet).

I bought that circular saw model and i was disappointed. After a few months I sold it and upgraded to the 60v worm drive dewalt has and its the best ive used. I would recomend buying this only to sell everything but the batteries and just upgrading or just to make some some off of it

I got this driver last month with a different kit and not happy with it, on the speed 1 that is supposed to be for screws it doesn't have enough power and stalls on a standard wood crew on a stud and doesn't get to do any impacts, is that normal for these? my 9 year old Ridgid engages the impacts much sooner and works much better

Have you tried using speed 2 or 3? I've never had issues driving screws into studs with this.

What is worm drive style? I see it's available on left side circle saw only, is it correct? I also pull the trigger on this saw but would like to learn more after read your comment. Thank you for your sharing.
