I just picked up this TV from Costco a few weeks ago. Hm, wonder if I can get some money back due to this sale?
As for the jail bars/vertical bars/banding - I have not noticed this. Mine is wall mounted and this seems to be a possible cause? I need to look for it now, do some testing.
UPDATE - did the white screen test - I cannot see it..if its there, I cannot see it. But reading some redit forms, seems like its issue if its mounted and angled. Mine is flush with the wall.
Otherwise, this TV has been great upgrade over our failed visio.
There aren't any reviews on the Vizio yet. Spec wise, the Vizio is better than the X900H. From a quality perspective, Sony is the better brand. People are reporting the software is really buggy right now on the Vizio.
I'm in the same boat for 75" versions, either the Sony or Vizio PX75-G1 from Costco. With no reviews (in Costco) for this year's Vizio, if we go merely with the specs, I'd say Vizio is better. Even the last year's PX75-G1 is comparable with Sony x900H. Apart from HDMI 2.1 that the Sony has and a better/snappy OS there isn't much of a difference between the two. Vizio has better picture quality whereas Sony is better in upscaling (480p and 720p contents). I think the buggy software of Vizio could be fixed using a Roku or Amazon fire tv stick.
Ok I bought the Sony. My current TV is a Vizio that had buggy software that crashes in Netflix and drops the ability to control my Soundbar at random and I'm not going through that again.
Bought this at Costco 2 weeks ago, went back yesterday to get the price difference. I don't know as much about TVs as some people on here, but damn I love this TV. Excellent picture, no problems at all so far. I prefer Android TV over Roku. Also, will be PS5 ready after the planned update.
bought the 65" tv from Costco yesterday.
I did the DSE (dirty screen effect) test by watching some youtube videos with different color backgrounds and I noticed that my tv has about.
8 -10 vertical ghost lines visible on light grey back grounds.
after checking the interwebs, it seems this model is known for having this issue.
has anyone encountered this issue?
This TV has great colors. my plan is to return it for another one.
Vizio TVs make for great 4K theatre displays.
Excellent for gaming, very bright, great contrast ratio and topnotch 4K picture quality BUT if you're going to watch anything below 4K. Well, that's another story.
Sony has a much better video processing.
Vizio's OS and processors are in fifth place behind Sony, LG, Samsung and TCL.
You'll be better off purchasing a streaming device.

Just FYI, the PX75-G1 from Costco is the 2019 version. Costco's 65" P65qx is the only 2020 Vizio that Costco has
Had to replace a 2019 TCL 6 series and went with the 900H. I was really bummed because the TCL had a great picture and Roku was pretty enjoyable to use, but I am BLOWN AWAY at how much better the 900H is. I actually vastly prefer the Android TV O/S and the picture quality is not even comparable in my opinion... plus other creature comforts like being able to cast Airplay from iOS devices to the screen with ease.
Still would highly recommend the TCL for the price, but I had audio clipping issues twice and didn't feel like trying a 3rd set.
Just thought I would leave a note in case anyone is on the fence about this TV... it greatly exceeded my expectations.
