congrats buddy this is a beautiful TV trust me. People in here are comparing it to other TV's playing their own demos. Go to Costco and see it side by side to the Q8 playing the same content and you will see that the 90CH looks better. The biggest mistake people make is that they go by specs all the time and you can't do that. Its like the Cowboys on paper they look great on the field ..... not so much.... one of those TVs was the Vizio PQ. The Sony 90CH or 900H however you want to call it is a great tv for the price and picture and color quality.
Vizio PX-G1 does not have HDMI 2.1 if you want to future proof your TV with for new console or PC graphic cards you should opt for Sony. The TV comes with the HDMI 2.1 hardware that will be turned on in "future" via firmware update.
Costco will only do a price adjustment within 30 days. If you want to wait till BF just wait. If you are going to buy it and returned it then don't, all you are doing is abusing the policy. The store loses money that way and hours get cut for employees.
There is a FreeShipping site that has 10% at most places. They often have 20% on holidays for a limited number of sites. I've used them for five years.

FYI when I returned the 85 850g Costco sent a truck to my house to pick it up.
Sadly, I have to return my 850g too. It has a split dark color side than another side when its showing grey or dark grey color. It's like watching the diff between a 1080/4k comparison screen. They sold out the 850g so no replacement. Now, I am debating this or wait for the 850g inventory comes back.
btw, I do see the blooming clouds during the dark scene but I don't think the kids notice it or care about it. It's strange that the x90ch doesn't have eARC.

never happen. Sony will sell you a newer model before they just turn it on.
The 85" 850g for 1399 at Costco is a better deal. It's a VA panel also. I'm sure the 900 picture is better with local dimming but worth it for a grand? Meh.

This TV has a 3 year warranty from Sony meaning Costco does not add an extra year. Costco only adds one year to the manufactures one year warranty. Last year the Samsung QLEDs had a 3 and a 5 year warranty and it did not go well for them, that is why this year Samsung is paying for the square trade on the Q6 and Q8 models. Once again Costco adds a second year warranty on TV with one year manufacturers warranty.
This is incorrect. Costco adds to any length of included warranty. It even adds to AppleCare.

My plan has been to wait til black friday and buy this TV. I would assume that it will either be the same or cheaper that it is now.
I don't want to have to go through the hassle of returning it and buying it again because I don't have a way to box it up and take it down stairs as I live on my own. I'm not even sure if it will fit up my stairwell without unboxing it first.
My only concern would be if it goes OOS EOL. What is the typical lifetime of the models before they switch to next year?

I have a big basement and like the idea of an 85". Plus it is currently about $1k cheaper than the 77" OLED.
Very few from oled world are okay with led but yeah it's an 85 and in upcoming years they should be larger panels too.

Putting an 85 would take majority of the wall and I'm concerned if there's such a thing as too big.
How far you should sit from this tv at minimum. For watching tv large size isn't a problem but for gaming it probably is.
Currently have 65, Sony 930E
