Sprint (now part of T-Mobile) [sprint.com] is offering a free handset line for existing and new customers from
9/2/20 to 9/17/2020. The end date may be extended, depending on how many free lines are added during 9/2-9/17. [Promo is still alive and has been extended as "limited time offer" with no end date]
You can BYOD or buy new phone, can be combined with any existing phone offers such BOGO, LOGO, trade-in discount, etc.
Existing customers must have at least two paid handset lines on their accounts to add a free line. New customers must order at least two paid handset lines to add a free line. Handset lines and voice lines are the same thing and are used interchangeably, which include minutes, texts and data, in Sprint/T-Mobile lingo.

It says that for everyone tho, does it say $0/month in the plan overview page when you click on it?
Aight let us know when your billing cycle ends. But if it doesn't show $0 for the others I wouldn't expect them to be free
There was the iPhone XS Max for $399 but that sold out. Just wanted to know if there's a way I could take advantage of them in the future but guess not
Yes. .
Any update?
Nothing yet as my bill does not generate for a few weeks at least..
EDIT: a week not weeks..so will know soon..
1) Keep at least 2 paid lines in account
2) Lines which were added after the free line can be ported out
3) The free line is reserved, not active

Yeah I figured the main catch is to keep 2 active lines, if it drops to 1 you're screwed
So looks like its 1 line free only, thats fine ill just cancel the other lines and I did get the iPhone 11 Pro Max promo so thats a sweet deal too (even tho line is not free), its like 1000$ bill credits with eligible trade in.
I was mentally prepared anyways to have the lines getting charged, and I have SWAC so there are 0 activation fees.Just have pro rated charges for the lines for the bill cycle that cut in and the next month.Assuming I cancel the other lines out, the bill should adjust in the next cycle and remove the advance payment for the lines for the current cycle.

You didn't get the iPhone 11 promo on the line that was free?
No I thought device promos were only for add a line? The free line on US i have is in reserved state so am guessing all.i can do is BYOD on it now.
And yeah, I'm like 99% sure you won't get to keep the free line if you have only 1 paid line after 12 months. Just like you, i have no need for more lines(whole point of me being on SWAC to begin with). Terms say you must maintain an eligible line count which would be 2 paid at the least, just like how T-Mobile does these. No matter what any rep promises you none of them have the power to restore the MAC code once it's gone because it's system generated and automatically removed.
I trust real user experience more than what rep said.

Mine is still there, but I think it depends on how they apply the credit. For me they just put it as an account credit so they can't really take it off. They gave me account credit cuz apparently SWAC didn't even qualify for legit winback credit?
You mentioned you ported back a line to get $50 credit and even got a text message. And then you ported out the line again. Is the $50 credit for winback?

Yeah, so when I ported back in after getting the text, the rep didn't tell me about the $50 credit. When I told the rep about it she said SWAC doesn't qualify. So I asked why I even got the text and then she just gave me the $50 credit manually after a brief wait. That's why I thought maybe SWAC doesn't actually qualify for it and she made an exception. She did mention something about 30 days I think but I ported our like a few minutes after seeing the credit lol.
