It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

I'd recommend one of the new Nvidia 3090 series gaming cards and a 55" LG CX OLED.... that should knock out 3k of it immediately... if building a strong PC around the video card that should cover most of the rest Smilie

I'm not after the points for hotels. I'm after the points for cash back. 2x points on every day purchases and 100k bonus points for 3k spent in 3 months sounds like a better deal for an average joe trying to simply take advantage of a promo offer, am i right?
This is funny.
You say you're not after hotel points but you compared this card to a Marriott card.
Do you know what you can use the 100k Marriott points for ??

I knew what you meant with your comment.
SD post a great deal and yet people are asking how to get it for FREE.
Its like posting a great deal on a product and people area asking how to get it for FREE.
Maybe this post should be re-labeled as getting $705 for FREE.

If you kept reading my responses you would've seen I was mistaken and thought they were ultimate rewards like my 2 other chase cards and the sapphire card above.

I got this card two months ago, wonder if they'll honor the new signup bonus

I read it in points guy website that if you have taken the same card under 3 months, they might respect the offer and provide you the current one. Try it once.

Anyone have any insight into this? I signed up through the link and was approved but it only processed as the 60,000 rather than the 80,000. Chase just says sorry you aren't eligible for the 80, you get the 60. Why would this happen and is there any way around it?

which link (specifically) did you sign through? how did you know it was only processed as 60K and not 80K? either chase or you is lying. Lesson for life: Better for one to be wrong than to be a liar.

Chase (like other banks) know who has accounts/relationships with other aspects of their own company. They are not a 'relationship' bank, but having a deposit account may help if someone is at the margins re. credit history (length/depth moreso than a negative history). Some other banks, like Bank of America or US Bank could be considered 'relationship' banks in that having a deposit account/major loan can be a significant factor in getting approved for cards.

I got my Chase Sapphire Reserve in late August 2016. 100k points then. I still have it. I have 2 business cards with Chase as well (got them after 2016). So 1 personal (reserve) and 2 business.

Do I qualify for this deal? 80k is awesome!

Great info and good to know. Why does Chase not consider themselves to be a relationship bank like Bank of America? Just curious. What about the other big bank - Citi? Is it considered a relationship bank? Why wouldn't Chase want to position itself as a relationship bank?
