This deal is almost as good as past Acer Nitro 5 "RTX 2060" laptop front page deals, this month on Slickdeals. (except this laptop only has intel i5 9300H.)

17.3" Acer Nitro5 -- i7 9750h $1049.99 (currently still available) -- has larger ssd 512gb vs 256gb, but no extra 1tb hdd. But it has Better i7 CPU and 17.3" form factor.

15.6" Acer Nitro5 -- i7 9750h $900 (which sold out within hours on Amazon less than 2 weeks ago)

Comparable to recent Front page MSI RTX 2060 deal i5 9300h 512gb ssd, but only has 8gb ddr4 ram. --also currently available. (note:no longer giving the limited time free $100 MSI backpack)

I think it's a reasonable deal for anyone in bad need of something like this right now.today. ....Fully specced 1.2tb and 16gb ram with rtx 2060.

Maybe not much of a bottleneck: I think the i5 9300h should be able to play games almost as good as i7 9750h, my guess would be 5-10fps difference at most, but most times no difference depending on the game. Battery life will be a little better for non-gaming purpose ...They claim 7-8hrs with rtx 2060 disabled, using only integrated gfx. I think i7 9750h will only get 3-5 hrs in comparison on the average sized battery.

Only competing deals like 17.3" better cpu i7 9750h is also available at Walmart for $1050, so that is a better deal, and an MSI with same cpu/rtx2060 dealwhich is only equal to this is overshadowing this deal for $50 less and with free $100 backpack and Newegg has no tax in some states. (This Acer comes with 16gb ram - about a $60 value, and 1 tb hdd drive another $50 value).

The news of rtx30s coming in a year to laptops, may cause some to wait a year... those people could pass on laptop deals like this.

But this is Great for everyone to have choices and be aware of them. Buy the best thing available while deals & supplies last.

11th-gen tiger lake i7 laptops are already cheaper than this at $749 and even thats too high. You are essentially buying 2 generation old trash. This should be $399 to be conpetitive.

Deal expired - price went back up to $789

It was either this Acer Nitro 5 or the ASUS TUF A15 from BB for $799. I am glad I was able to snag the Acer.

If I don't like it I could always return it. Looking for the best light gaming laptop deal in the $600-800 price range - more will come out as we get closer to BF
