I had two hero 7 blacks go "bad" on me and was engaged in a 1.5 year fight with them over replacements on and off, only to find out that two out of three Samsung memory cards I bought off of Amazon as FP slick deals were fakes, and actually what caused my cameras to freeze, crash, fail to give me clear files at random. I felt like an idiot. I was so sure it was GoPro's fault.
Amazon gave me refunds for the cards even tho one was over a year old and I threw them in the trash.
Next memory cards I buy will be directly from Best Buy via price matching to Amazon.
First, if you are already a gopro subscriber, they give you an additional discount on the camera. I am not, so I couldn't see what the discount actually was.
When you check out, they break out the subscription cost (49.99) separately from the bundle cost and ask you to acknowledge it. At first, I was confused and thought they were adding this to the total cost, but when I checked out, it wasn't added. I did have to pay tax, and 2-day shipping was free.
I added the camera, SD card, and subscription for what I thought was supposed to be a total of $349.
At checkout, it says the camera is $404.99, the subscription is $49.99 and the SD card doesn't even show up. Does it update these numbers once you authorize the GoPro Subscription in Step 4? I find it odd that the SD card isn't showing up in the final checkout screen where I enter my info.
I was also trying to get a dual battery charger and it is showing $44.99 so it seems like it isn't giving me the subscription discount yet.
Go to the deal link in the wiki. From there just select the "Hero 9 + Subscription " and click "Add to Cart". Everything will automatically be added to your cart and the total price will be adjusted to $349.98.
You can add the dual battery charger after and it'll show up for $35.

It worked today. Their system must have been messed up last night.
Not sure if its a mistake or not, now there's a bundle (Handler, Magnetic Swivel Clip, Spare Battery, 32GB SD Card) is going for for $349.95 + subscription.

I just placed my order yesterday so saw this and thought, great as soon as I ordered they have a better offer. I went and looked and the bundle you mention shows up at $399.98 fo rme (not logged in).

I think it's $350 plus $50 subscription for $400 total.

How ? Can you share some more details please ?
It's cheaper to get the accessories you want separately. (As soon as you add the subscription to your cart, you get the discounted price on accessories).

Did they get rid of that "we will charge you full amount Or camera if you cancel subscription early" part in order? I don't see it. Only that if you cancel early you don't get a refund and you are stuck with a year.
Check your new gopro9 for stuck pixels. People find plenty!
To check set the camera to 4K/60fps, 100 to 400 ISO, turn off all motion smoothing, record in a dark room. Red, green, blue pixels that don't go away are the sensor flaws.
In my own opinion, with motion smoothing, gopro sends now cameras with sensors that otherwise would not pass. People find a lot of stuck pixels. Smoothing blurs out such pixels.
I had the same issue and it was incredibly frustrating!
I figured out that if I used a different email address it allowed the order to go through. I contacted GP support numerous times and they don't have a clue about their website glitch. Infuriating how incompetent they are.
Same here. Maybe they ran out so there aren't taking any more orders?

GP had previously run out of stock for the Hero9, but they appear to be restocked now. Not sure what the Amazon discount might look like, but I'm sure it will be hard to beat the one directly from GP + Pro subscription discount.
Just late in the race.. Upgrading from hero 8 to hero 9 with subscription offer. When I checked with customer support, they confirmed that subscription is only for a year and is not renewed automatically. Hope we can get rid of subscription charges after first year. Can anyone please confirm? Sorry If I missed any details already discussed...

I don't see it either. I think they may have changed the warning/wording there. Now it says it will happen only if you are EU customer and cancel subscription within 14-day trial period (i.e. don't pay for subscription). If you are non-EU customer and don't cancel during trial (i.e. actually pay $50 for the year), it seems that you can cancel at any time.
Does anybody else read it differently? Here's what is says now:
For non-EU customers, there is no free trial period and no pro-rated refunds for cancelled subscriptions. In the event that you cancel your subscription before the end of the initial year term but keep your camera, you will continue to receive all the benefits of the GoPro Subscription for the full annual term of your subscription, but will not receive a refund for your cancelled subscription. For EU customers only, you will have a 14 day free trial period and may return your subscription, however if you return your subscription within this 14 day period you will fall below the threshold for eligibility for this offer and we will reduce any applicable refund owed to you by the full retail price of the camera and reserve the right to charge your payment method for any remaining balance owed to GoPro.

That seems to be the best/safest solution.
