*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

Not in the eligible list. Sucks. Good deal though.
I got the same plan. Was hoping it would be included this time. Does suck.

This free line promo looks different than before:

Add a voice line for free to an eligible plan with two or more existing lines.
Subject to change. Free new line for accounts with 2 to 11 voice lines; plus taxes & fees for accounts currently paying for a T-Mobile wireless line with additional taxes & fees. Qualifying credit and Magenta, Essentials, ONE, Business Unlimited, or Simple Choice plan required. Credits may take up to 2 bill cycles; credits will stop if you cancel any lines. Limit 1 offer per account.

Looks like we are charged for the additional line, then issued a credit each month (like an EIP). The problem is that highlighted line -- if you cancel ANY lines, then the credits will stop? My other free Tmobile lines were not like this at all. I may not sign up for this because of this restriction (unable to cancel any lines)

Is there a way to do this online? Spent hours last time on the phone which I'd rather not do again.

Called, said I had simple choice and was not applicable. Then tried selling me a digits line with a free tablet. Bit of a joke... Rep said good for plans with two lines paying 90, will get 3rd for free. This stuff nvr works for me...

Do you have to pay an activation fee or SIM charge for the new line?

Yes, usually $10 for a new SIM card, that's it. That's all I had to pay last time, that's all I'm expecting to pay this time.

Can you keep me posted please. I saw someone say they had to pay $10 for a sim and $20 for 'assistance'. Thanks

Just did it over the phone earlier today and it worked. Best to check you eligibility using the instructions from the OP before calling. There is a $10 charge for the SIM. There is also a $20 assistance change but if your nice to them they will waive. You should be nice to them anyway especially today since I'm sure they will be slammed. Too many people take their frustration out on the reps who are just doing their jobs. Good luck!

How do you know what phones will qualify for the trade in deals? I'm considering doing this for the next promotion or the one after.
