*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

shame that I may not take advantage of this offer. Sure it's a free line, but for SC, it's ~$5/mo forever. It might be cheaper overall for my 4 family to join my sister's family for $20x4/mo. vs my $122/mo.

I am asked to pay $30, $20 assisted support fee + $10 sim fee to get the offer by Tmobile. Did anyone else experience this?

Anyone knows if this free line meets the "add a line" requirement for their device deals? If yes, do I need to buy the phone at the same time as opening the new line?
Yes, to the first part for sure. Not sure about your 2nd question.

Have 9 lines on simple choice. Tried to add free line by porting Google voice number, buy iPhone 11pro max with $800 off with iPhone 6s trade in. Everything was going smoothly until I received email with contract. Carefully, looked and the plan will be changed from simple choice to magenta.

Declined the agreement and said no thank you. She said since I have 9 lines already and that's the max for simple choice, she'll temporarily upgrade me to magenta, add free line and put me back to simple choice. I declined. Not worth it to lose simple choice

Isn't 10 the max for simple choice?

Any suggestion which is better - Samsung A71 or OnePlus 8? Both at 50% off for the voice & data line I added yesterday.
If you are planning to get flagship phone in the near future, just go with Plus 8 better trade-in value. For A71also have a trde-in value but for budget phone only.

I said it's AT&T. Tmobile link showed it can be ported

Paid $3 to get G voice unlocked

Planned to use $50 iPhone 6s from total wireless, but oh well! Will save it for some other time

Had 10 lines in the past. No issues. Cancelled a line about a year ago. So don't think that's an issue. She said new changes.

Free line is kind of a trap because it forces you to stay with them long term. Much better deals to be had switching carriers

Are you able to get One Plus Promo on newly added lines?
It doesn't currently have it, but in the past, a nice chat with t force has always gotten it added.

If you have a Costco membership, you can get T-Mobile iPhones for 10% off (360 for 64mb/405 for 128 models). In addition, if you activate a new line you can get $180 Visa gift card as a mail in rebate.
I didn't realize Costco had a $180 gift card. That's totally worth a shot to avoid that 2 year commitment. But it is still more work to get it...
