Copy/paste from a previous reply: If your SOC is one of the approved plans, just go add a line yourself. If your plan qualifies, it will be free. There's no special code that a rep would enter to make the line free ... they just add a line like you can do yourself. If you do do this, the line doesn't show up as free as you check out. The free line promo qualification shows up after that fact automatically (for me, it was when my sim card shipped and a phone number was assigned to the line).
edit: last free line offer in late June, I called and a rep added the line for me plus didn't charge me for the assistance fee (I used my own sim card). This time, I didn't want to deal with waiting online or on the phone so I just added the line myself and paid the $10 sim card fee.
I added a line on Friday, whats a good phone promo ? Also when I was talking to the rep to add this line, she said I didnt qualify for promo, because line was free, but I feel she was wrong... So now want to see if I can pair with a good promo, do I just buy it online or have to deal with the TF ? (Friday took 2.5 hours to add a line, on Tmo App chat, that kept crashing every 2 minutes on iOS14)
The other option is getting $250.
