*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

Yes you can do it online. You avoid the $20 fee but will pay $10 for a sim card. And there's nothing to be scared about. It's not like there's a contract and you're on the hook for $20/month for years. Imagine the worst case scenario that you really aren't eligible ... just cancel the line; you'll know within a few days. That's definitely worth a trying to get a free line forever.

Copy/paste from a previous reply: If your SOC is one of the approved plans, just go add a line yourself. If your plan qualifies, it will be free. There's no special code that a rep would enter to make the line free ... they just add a line like you can do yourself. If you do do this, the line doesn't show up as free as you check out. The free line promo qualification shows up after that fact automatically (for me, it was when my sim card shipped and a phone number was assigned to the line).

edit: last free line offer in late June, I called and a rep added the line for me plus didn't charge me for the assistance fee (I used my own sim card). This time, I didn't want to deal with waiting online or on the phone so I just added the line myself and paid the $10 sim card fee.
I am following you from now on Smilie I went to the store as I didn't know all the details and wanted to jump on the deal just in case, they did charge me some fees. they charged upgrade charge $20, sim card $10, and assisted support $20. I wanted to keep my old phone to use the new number, and one of the new phone to use old number. I guess they could've save the old sim by changing that number, but missed that.

Yes this new free line qualify you for any phone promo they have currently running. Just make sure when you pick the promo phone they don't add another line and make sure they attach to your new promo free line. I just got off the phone with the rep where they added another line they had to fix by canceling it. Which now in my account shows I have a cancel line so I screwed again from any promo for 90 days becauze they screwed up again. Tmobile really need to retrain their customer care reps. Had to deal with them mistakes for the last 3 months since the June line on us promo. At least I got the free line finally activated and shows 2020 line on hs promo in my account. Had to talk to 5 customer care dealing with their imcompetence. Now the last rep said I can port in with this new line for the $250 rebate. Even though I have a cancel line now. Will see if that goes thru or more call with them.

I added a line on Friday, whats a good phone promo ? Also when I was talking to the rep to add this line, she said I didnt qualify for promo, because line was free, but I feel she was wrong... So now want to see if I can pair with a good promo, do I just buy it online or have to deal with the TF ? (Friday took 2.5 hours to add a line, on Tmo App chat, that kept crashing every 2 minutes on iOS14)

Nice was thinking about doing this after seeing data points of people getting the promo despite being told multiple times its not eligible. What's your plan SOC?
It's a free line forever ... worth taking a shot and adding a line to see if you get the promo if you have any doubts whether you would qualify or not. Just do it online yourself and pay $10 sim card fee. Or try online or call in and hope you get a nice rep that'll waive all fees. Within a day or two once your new line is setup, you'll either get a text confirming the promo (and it'll show up online) or you won't. There are no contracts so you can cancel the line if you don't qualify. I'd do it as I don't mind possibly paying 1 month for a line ($20 or $30) if I think there's a chance I might qualify for a free line forever. Low risk, high reward.

Isn't TM all unlimited data? Where would it show, if you have no data and/or allow you to purchase it?
Quote from Szyszka :
Yes, the rep made sure the new line matches the data cap on all the remaining 9 lines. He did mention during the chat that he had trouble reinstating 4GB "because it was a promo" (I think all of those who were on 2.5 were bumped to 4 few years ago) but "continued to work on it" and I guess whatever he did eventually worked.

Unfortunately I have the free line promo from June, so if this new line happens not be be free, then I am stuck with the line since cancelling it would likely void my free line from June

Look on the T-Mobile deals page [t-mobile.com].

The other option is getting $250.

That's what I did. Like you said, when the Sim card is shipped you will get a text message confirming the promotional deal applied to your account

Mine said that too. Once you have it all activated with the SIM card in there the phone will update in the system and shortly thereafter the bill credit will show for that line. That is the same thing mine did.
Thanks friend

Yeah, that's a tad scary. If I were you, I'd confirm that it's OK to cancel lines after the free line promo which I think you can but I wouldn't do w/o confirmation. I'd message T-Force on Twitter/FB and ask something to the effect of "can you confirm if I add a new line today and need to cancel it for some reason, the cancellation would not affect my June free line promo". The nice thing about messaging T-Force is they know more than phone reps and you have a transcript of your interactions.

Btw, are you also porting a number for the $250 promo?
No - I did the $800 off of iPhone 11 Pro with a trade in (had 6S I got from Tracfone for $60) and port in (had spare Cricket number used when jumping on the $30 iPhone 7 deal).
