*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

you can port in a number anytime. no fees to do that.
Good to know I'll change it out when I get the sim in hand. Thanks!

Just chat with an agent and they told me that I have to add a line in order to get the free line despite the fact i got a eligible SOC. the terms on the deal didn't not say anything about having to add a line in order to get one yet this rep said you have to. don't know who is right or wrong now...
So you are wondering if everyone here on this 126 page thread who have gotten a free line w/o adding a line are mistaken and that one agent you chatted with is right?? Stop thinking and just add a line. Worst case scenario, you cancel that line.

Better yet, port in an AT&T number from eBay (~$7) and get the $250 visa card offer.

eBay seller "re-lux" got me a number in my area code whereas my first AT&T number purchase from another vendor had limited area codes.

edit: corrected $250 thread link

That works? I've been eyeing it but I wasn't sure. Gonna try it do I need to wait for the sim?

I should've been more clear. I am just saying that in comparing between their webpage and the agent. I'm pretty sure the agent is wrong since I got free lines before without the need to pay for an extra line just to get another free line.

Sorry, I linked the wrong $250 gift card thread ... this one is the right one; I corrected it in my post. We all believe it should work. Smilie

You don't need to have your physical sim if it's still in the mail; you can do the port once you have a phone number assigned to your free line (which for me happened around the time the sim card shipped).

Thanks! I tried finding the seller I see re-lux not de-lux and coincidently I just got an email from t-mobile that my new line w/ number has been activated. Bah, hopefully I can talk to a rep and get the port to work. Thanks.

Give it time. It took my account half a day or a day to update. Wait until you have a number assigned to the new line.

That's the one ... re-lux. Porting was pretty painless and easy. You'll tell them the existing phone # you want to replace and they'll ask for the new phone #, account #, and pin. My port happened within 5 minutes. After you do the port, go register for the $250.

Better yet, port in a Google Voice number? The port-out fee for GV is $3, I think....

My csr told me that I'd get the card in the mail and I didn't have to register anything else online for the 250 gc. Did anyone else get an answer like this? (I ordered the free line Sunday night, then ported the number over the phone today after it was activated to a SIM card I already had)
