*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

GV ports don't qualify for that $250 offer. "port-in from AT&T, Verizon, US Cellular, Spectrum, Claro or Xfinity required"

Could you explain this port in to me? Im not really sure of what to do.
I buy the port in first, then when I call up to get free line I give them that info?
Or does tmobile give me a number and then I change it to the port number?
I do not have a sim yet. I ordered 1 on ebay the other day. Or do I buy the sim from Tmobile?
Sorry for all the questions, I am not very tech savvy. LOL

To get it free, don't you have to add it? How can you have something free if you're not willing to accept it.

So you are wondering if everyone here on this 126 page thread who have gotten a free line w/o adding a line are mistaken and that one agent you chatted with is right?? Stop thinking and just add a line. Worst case scenario, you cancel that line.

You call T-Mobile and say you want to add a free line under current promotion. Once s/he, says, great, your plan qualifies for it, then you just go ahead and they will explain you what to do for port-in.

Good to know I'll change it out when I get the sim in hand. Thanks!
Once you get your sim you can always ask them to change the number once for free. Tell them the area code you like and rest of the 7 numbers are random I think. Back in the old days you can pick where they read out few of the numbers.

1. Open a line. If you qualify for this free line offer, it'll be free.

2. Once you line is active, it will have a phone number assigned to it from T-Mobile. At this point, you can call in and tell them you want to port-in a new phone number. Tell them which existing number you want to replace (this new line one) and they'll ask for the new phone number, account number, and pin (the latter three you'll get with your eBay number purchase).

To open a new phone line, you'll need a sim card. You can buy one from T-Mobile when you open the line ($10) or if you have one yourself, let them know and they can activate the new line using the sim card in your possession. Whether you wait for your eBay sim card or start a line with T-Mobile right now and buy one of theirs, it's up to you. As you decide what you want to do, just make sure you open the free line before this offer expires (whenever that might be).

I already got a new number off of ebay and had a rep port it in and change it for me. So I'm all set. Thanks for the tip though.

Added a free line on 9/18. Bought Verizon prepay card on 9/19. Ported Verizon # to free line today. All ok. Called 611 to do it. They just asked for Verizon Account #, phone #, and pin. No imei #.

The post I responded to mentioned the CSR told him/her that in order to get a free line, he/she needed to add a paid line e.g. add one paid line to get the free line. I responded, obviously unclearly, that we are able to get a free line without requiring adding the additional paid line.

Just chat with an agent and they told me that I have to add a line in order to get the free line despite the fact i got a eligible SOC. the terms on the deal didn't not say anything about having to add a line in order to get one yet this rep said you have to. don't know who is right or wrong now...
this is the line you'll adding and it'll be free. in case you're thinking it's add 1 get 1 or something, it's not.

Awesome! Got 2 free lines this year (today and June). I also bought a $4 SIM card from eBay instead of using their $10 one

For the life of me I cannot understand why my plan is excluded. It is the $100 All In plan with the 20% off hook up discount. I mean I could see if my plan was cheaper than everyone else's but it really isn't.

It's a discounted promo plan. It's been that way since promos started (not including 2017's This One's on Us, which your plan was eligible for).

T-Mobile one eligible?
I'm a single line T-Mobile One plan: FRLTUNL and according to the the OP's list I don't qualify. But I do see other T-Mo One people in this thread saying their One plan qualifies.

Can i do any better?

Got Tmobile One Plus:

5 voice lines
1 tablet line
Netflix premium extra $5
Scam Shield $4/mo on one line
$180/mo
Getting $30 kickback discount
$30 autopay discount for 6 lines
...bill ends up usually $159

Looks like one line shows as $10/mo...should I try adding this free line and remove the $10/mo one? Or is that risky and could screw up my whole plan?
