*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

If I already got a number from Tmobile on the free line, can I still port over a number and get the $250GC?

Is the promo automatic? I have an eligible SOC. Can I simply add a line online?

Yes, if your SOC is on the list, you can just add the line and phone yourself, and contact customer service if you have a port in number for the trade in phone.

I'm a single line T-Mobile One plan: FRLTUNL and according to the the OP's list I don't qualify. But I do see other T-Mo One people in this thread saying their One plan qualifies.
Single line doesn't qualify for this. Although you probably could add a line and get 3rd for free

It's very clear, if after adding this line, if you cancel any line from the plan, you will loose this promo.

Can i do any better?

Got Tmobile One Plus:

5 voice lines
1 tablet line
Netflix premium extra $5
Scam Shield $4/mo on one line
$180/mo
Getting $30 kickback discount
$30 autopay discount for 6 lines
...bill ends up usually $159

Looks like one line shows as $10/mo...should I try adding this free line and remove the $10/mo one? Or is that risky and could screw up my whole plan?

Anyone had any luck porting their Google Voice number to T-Mobile?

I have mine ready to port - unlocked and with the PIN. It's a 'good' number easy to memorize, but as i read online porting Google Voice numbers can be a major pain in the rear.

Any recent experiences?

I ported few in last several months. Didn't have any issues. Pretty quick too.

It's a discounted promo plan. It's been that way since promos started (not including 2017's This One's on Us, which your plan was eligible for).
Thanks for the info. I don't really mind. I love the plan.

Yeah, barring stockpiling a bunch of free lines and canceling paid lines, you're on one of the best plans possible with T-Mobile, assuming you don't actually need more lines.

That was easy. After spending a few hours on the chat back in June to get the free line then and make sure it's really free this time I just trusted the process.
  • Placed order online yesterday at 1pm on the website. Adding a new line did not indicate any discounts as expected. Paid $10 for the SIM.
  • Order marked as shipped via email/text this morning at 10:45am
  • Text confirmation of the promo text today at 1pm
  • SOC plan #FRLTULF2 (original T-Mobile One)
Took 5 minutes yesterday instead of being glued to the chat window for hours. I am totally OK with making this a quarterly event. How about a wearable or tablet line next time. Big Grin

Still debating if I wanna buy a new unlocked phone from apple and use the $250 BYOD with number port-in.

I'm on Simple Choice 2GB plan (4 lines). I was able to get both free line (5th line) and 11 Pro Max (w/iphone 8 trade-in & ATT port-in) this morning. I did confirm with the support rep many times, and she said I should get credits within next bill cycle. Hopefully they didn't mess up my plan.
