*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

Question -hope someone can answer:

When you look at your tmobile app under account > plan usage and details > manage my plan , you could see your estimated current monthly costs with supposedly all discounts and promotions.

Does this estimated monthly cost also include the kickback or no?

Thanks in advance!
I ask that very question a few pages back and someone answered it does not. Sounds like we have the concern, because my plan shows it being more than what I usually pay if kickback was factored in (we usually don't exceed the data amount). I'd be pretty pissed if it did but how would they factor that in since kickback is determined for the bill period AFTER usage. I'll wait till next bill comes and see what it comes to. I can always take my business elsewhere as I'm not tied to any credits or eip.

Dont feel bad. I posted here that I got the deal and then after 2 days checked my account and a FAR inferior promo was on the account. Had to spend another hour on chat getting a different rep to fix and took tons of screenshots. So, everyone be careful if you did it over the phone. Check your lines and promos to be sure the correct one was applied!
Yes, don't feel bad they made a huge mess on mine for the June promo and took 2 months of calling bath and forth to get that figure out. Long story short every month I called about my bill not credit it for the free June promo line the rep tells me takes one to two billing cycle to show. 2nd month still no adjustment on accoubt so call again and same answer takes 2 billing cycle so told them it's 2 months now so they double check and told me my plan was not qualify. So from June to august 25 everytime I called no rep caught that my plan was not qualify? So had to cancel that line. And now I'm not qualify for any promo for 90 days unless I activated the cancel line. Luckily this promo free line I am qualify. I told them make sure bcuz they messed up or misinformed me on the June promo. Now I see the 2020 line on us 2 promo showing in my account. But I can't get any of the other promo like port in for phones or $250 rebate with port in because of the august 25 canceled line.
Won't be able to take advantage of this free new activated line with other promo but at least my niece will be happy again now she can use the new line. She was so sad when she lost the June line after using it for two months. Just send her the sim after activated. So at the end still happy with Tmobile just takes a lot of follow up on your part to make sure everything is done correctly. Also appreciate everyone here reading up on what people experience really helps. Be safe everyone.

Thanks Donatello. When logging on the computer I do see the "this line on us 2" under promotions. But on the app where it shows your current rate it is much higher. So I presumed its due to the kickback not showing up but wanted to make sure.

I'm planning to take advantage of the iphone promotion, but want to make sure the kickback wasn't included in that current plan estimate (before i did the phone promotion). Also good to know just incase I have to back out of the free line (before I'm locked in on a phone) because for some reason they screwed up my original plan.

If I may ask, how many lines do you have and what plan?

I have the One plan and increased from 8 to 9 lines. but when they changed my plan, im still on the ONE plan with 9 lines now.

Thank you for backing me up. I factor the kickback into my total monthly cost because, I have one line that is just for phone deals when they come around the sim essentially stays in a drawer. The other line is my mom's she uses less than 1gb a month lol.
Sure thing. It IS helpful to include when Kickback is included in the breakdown, but you're obviously not being evasive. From my experience, most people don't tend to think about how they got to their bill, only about how much they have to shell out every month.

You may still be eligible, depending on how that line was cancelled.

For lines added purely by accident, T-Mobile can cancel them with a "no install" designation, which doesn't actually count as a cancellation for promos.

It may be worth hitting up T-Force (the only group I would trust with this question) and ask how it was marked in the system, and if it will prevent you from taking advantage of the promo.

I would probably advise against using the "no install" name, though - I've done that in the past, and they definitely seem to get a littler more tight-lipped about things once they see that. Just tell them your issue, and see if they can check in their system to see.if that specific cancellation will affect it. If not, ask if they can provide a reason why that is versus just a standard cancellation.

Do you mind sharing a few pieces of info with me? Specifically the SOC of your new 9-line plan and whether or not you have the 2017 This One's on Us promo?

I'm trying to get as many data points as I can to see if my suspicions are right regarding the 2 different SOCs for the 9-line plan.

Thanks!

Sure.

I was originally on the ONE plan from 2017.

The original SOC code with 8 line max was FRLTULFM2.

The rep told me this:
It says here where I am looking for the plan I need:

Kickback Eligibility:

All T-Mobile ONE plans created on April 22, 2018 or later

And she changed me to the ONE plan from 9-11lines. The SOC she changed me into is FRLTULFM9.

Would be good to hear your findings so far if you could share.

Also when you look at your tmobile app under account > plan usage and details > manage my plan , you could see your estimated current monthly costs with supposedly all discounts and promotions.

On your end does this estimated monthly cost also include the kickback or no? also trying to gather some data points. thanks!

Thanks a lot for the information.

Do you have the 2017 This One's on Us promo?

From what I've seen so far, it appears all the people I've spoken to that have it are put on FRLTULFM9. Those without it seem to be put on TIULFM9.

My guess is that FRLTULFM9 is the This Ones on Us compatible version, while TIULFM9 is the non-compatible version.

I do see your rep mentioned Kickback. It's also possible that's the case, although FRLTULFM9 was discontinued in April 2017, and Kickback wasn't abandoned until a year later. So if I had to guess, it's related to This One's on Us and not Kickback.

What's your base rate? 2/$120 or 9/$270? What number line did you add (3rd, 4th, etc?)
It was 4 lines for $170 , now 5th line added for free. Twitter rep said I will see double credit in next billing cycle. My cycle was closed to day when line was added. Who knows..I will wait for next months bill.

Yes I do have the 2017 this one is on promo.

When you check on your tmo app for the current plan rate with all the discounts and promos, does your estimate include the kickback deduction or no? Thanks

If you can wait and don't need the 4 lines right now, T-mobile might do more free lines in the future. It would be easy to switch to 2 paid magenta lines and then add the free lines as the become available. It would still be more than the grandfathered plans because some people including myself where able to sign up with 20% hookup discount. Or you could try porting out to a prepaid carrier and then porting back into t-mobile when/ if they run another 2 paid lines 3rd free, and hookup discount again like the $96 magenta from a few days ago with taxes and fees included. You can search the $96 magenta deal on slickdeals.
I only need three lines and that seems to be the problem. They will give people 8 or more lines for about what they want me to pay for three.

$96 for three lines is way more per line than most pay.

That will only show base plans with applicable promos. They CAN'T POSSIBLY know if you will use less than 2gb or not. That will only show up on your bill.
As I have mention in this thread, the kickback is a variable cost.

No problem. I have the One plan also but only 5 lines including the new "free" line just added (I know, missed the free line promo in June/July). My Plan also shows this Line On Us 2 promo, but $40 more than the amount I pay each month. This would be correct if kickback hasn't been factored in. Sweeter if the new line would have this too but reading on SD it's a hit or miss. I do think kickback isn't factored in to the plan cost for the reason I mentioned earlier. I'm reluctant to call as I don't want them to mess with it and knowing my luck they probably will.
My plan maxes out at 8 lines. With you going to 9, not sure if that changes anything with kickback though.

Much appreciated. I agree with your comments, just thrown off with tmo comment on the app that the estimate includes all discounts and promotions - and wanted to make sure.

If you are right then my current rate estimate on the app is correct as it is before any kickbacks applied.

Thanks again.

No problem. Go do your iPhone deal before they sold out.
