I bought 3 months back and for some reason the stopped working and started flickering. When contacted SAMSUNG for warranty after evaluation it was said to be panel issue tv not switching on and its not covered under warranty. Funny thing, TV not working for panel issue and for repair, its costing 550$ when new TV costs only 479$. Be cautious if you have kids at home since even a slight pressure touch from them might cost 500$ from pocket.
I have been eyeing this at Costco and Sams. The internal built in video clip on this TV's demo is flawless and displays blacks of the higher priced tier TV's. I was told two different ways the Costco warranty works if you add the S.T. warranty on a TV that has a factory 3 year warranty and using a Costco credit card. If anyone knows how the Costco warranty with ST extended warranty works please let me know.

Never trust video sources in store, they're horribly inaccurate and can make the worst TVs look better than the best. It's never going to give you a proper comparison. Never.

For those considering this TV, a while back I was on the phone with Samsung for about an hour. My Bluetooth headphones would connect to the TV but would have no sound. Without going into detail, we figured out a laborious fix, but he said he would elevate it to be fixed.
Recently, they released this firmware: SEP 23,2020|ver1401.7. The Bluetooth headphones now connect properly and have sound. The menus are more responsive and the occasional flickering has stopped.
Ended up getting costco's version of this TV for my aging folks. My dad even noticed the poorer picture quality when compared to his 15 year old samsung flat screen from a prior slickdeal then (45"). It really does have a shlt picture. No way in hell I'd use it for myself. I kinda wish I spent a few extra for the parents but he says it's alright, not a big deal. We have a 65" js8500 series from 3 years ago, which has a beautiful picture compared to this one (not apples to apples

Hardly a deal, let alone one that's worthy of FP.

i got a Samsung TV 7 years ago, spent over $1100, and now has multiple horizontal lines on it...
I had Sony's before Samsung and never had any issues...
I'm going to try a different brand.

Price is expired. This is slickdeals. Deals do not last more than a day or so. You are on a post over a year old.
