That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

I am debating getting this $250 prepaid card versus getting 50% off OnePlus 8 5g phone using $200 hookup code.

Which option do you guys think will be better if I want to eventually get the iphone 12?

Option 1: $250 prepaid card would require me to spend $7 for an ATT Phone number to port in. So i'd have $243 to spend on the iphone 12.

Option 2: Spend $350 + $70 tax (10% of full price of $700) - $200 prepaid card = $220 spent for the oneplus 8 5g. When the iPhone 12 comes out i can wait for a good trade in deal.

I guess the breakeven point for option 2 is if I can get ta $463 trade in credit on the oneplus 8 5g. Do you guys think that is possible?

I don't really need the free line nor the phone. But want to take best advantage of the available promotions.

Really? They told me that I cannot switch to the other t-mobile one plan and that I have to switch to magenta.
I was on One plan with 8 voice lines and got the free line yesterday. They switched me to SOC TIULFM9 and looks like they kept all my promotions and discounts but won't know for sure until my next bill.

Can't seem to get any documentation that indicates a minimum time needed. But then I suppose at the very least, you'll have to wait to get the prepaid card in your possession.

The concern is, what if you cancel after received; and then the charge your post paid account for the amount? Then it's pretty much a debt collection if it's not paid since they have all your info.

I suppose contacting them is another option... but not interested enough to do it
I did the previous T-mo BYOD $200 Deal in April this year with 4 lines. The GC codes were sent to the phones exactly 30 days after activation. I transferred their balances to my bank account the next day. Then waited another 10 days and called T-mo to cancel the lines and close the account. No "clawback" on the GCs. They also sent me a partial refund for the 2nd month about 4 weeks later.

Any detail on how to do the Costco byod. Any link?

Quote from superslickz :
Ok, i got through and called T-mobile. So apparently I got a CS that is a supervisor who has been with t-mobile for 10+ years. She said that I would qualify for $250 rebate promo even if the new line was added at Costco, because they are adding a t-mobile line. She read the terms carefully and made sure my plan qualified for this promo.

Now the bad news: After she said i qualified, I bought a ATT number on ebay while she was still talking. I told her give me a minute to find my pin# and account #. it was after I bought the number that she told me that the ported in number has to be a Postpaid number, not prepaid! I am pretty sure all numbers bought on ebay for porting are prepaid numbers! Argggh. Well, at that point since I already bought the number (which expires in 3 days), i went ahead with the port anyways. i guess we will see.

Long story short, this supervisor confirmed you can still get the rebate if you did the add in at Costco byod, but it has to be a postpaid number you are porting.

This doesn't mean you will get both 250 from tmb and 100 from Costco (but it may). I would submit the tmobile rebate before the Costco.

Now that's some crap. I just ported to their Prepaid service from AT&T on the 17th. Wonder if that can be cancelled.

You have to go to the store. They will print you an instruction sheet. For more info, look at the Costco BYOD thread.

Likely Paypal Transfer will work. As paypal is used for purchasing items but has a 3% fee. Otherwise venmo or cash app.

Had to do instore because today was last billing day with AT&T, couldn't wait for shipping of the SIM. Terrible decision. They charge $30 plus tax for every line. 4 lines costed $120 plus tax, just to port-in, not even considering the plan cost!

The only carrier that I see such higher cost to start doing business with. I know online is $10+tax, still higher than others where SIM is free or like $1.

I was denied at the store and customer service for any refund for this very high activation fee. Not nice.

I went with option 1. Couldn't justify buying phone I didn't need. I was back and forth though.

Does anyone know if Verizon or ATT offer similar deals like this ? I have Tmobile for years but TMobile has not offered a single deal for existing customers... I called to add a free line; they said my plan does not qualify..
So I will cancel Tmobile and comet back to get one of these good promotions...

Submitted unlock request with ATT. Going to wait 2 business days to get the response. How long this deal is valid? Is it better to port it in Costco and get both $100 and $250.

Thanks

It is still unclear to me. This $250 stacks with free line? I ported three lines, I expect three rebates of $250. If I contact them to make one line free (via their promotion), the rebate is still applicable in that free line? Thanks.
