That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

I think ebay $7 is the best option right now.
I have X lines on tmobile and planning to add another line. Wondering what all promos can I get out of below:
1) $250 rebate
2) Free line
3) Buy oneplus 8 for 50% off, therefore for $350
4) Get $200 rebate for buying 5G phones.

5) Costco -$100 (I don't have costco membership and would probably pass on this one)

Am I missing something? Any advice?

For someone like me who has a zombie Sprint account, the T-mo ordering site asked for info (name, address, DOB, SSN, etc) to run a credit check. Then it came back with a screen saying looks like you're a Sprint customer. If you click on the box to sign into Sprint, it takes you there but Sprint has no info about the BYOD deal. If you click on the X to close that pop-up screen, then it'll ask again for the info to run the credit check, and comes back with the same error screen. There's no way to get around it.
Thanks for the info. I guess the system is setup to flag if the account holder tries to open a new acct with the same company within 90 days.

Has anyone who has closed the sprint acct more than 90 days ago (or even TMo for that matter) and system flagged them as having an account already?

Thanks

I have two lines with att . Can I add a new line to att in the store and then wait for 24 hrs for activation or less and then switch to t-mobile for 3rd line to avail 250$ benefit . Is that feasible approach ? Is there any limit of transferring number which got recently activated ?

1 and 2 or 3,4 and 5 are the two options.

First of all, OP is on Tmobile One w/ 8 capped lines plan so he cannot get L9 w/o changing plan and that's minefield in itself. Beyond line 8, there are lot of "backend" changes like autopay drops off, certain discounts are not compatible, etc. You'll need to do some research on here and reddit.

Next, say OP just wants 3 more lines, it depends on the T&C of L6 - L8 and associated discounts with those lines. Also, keep in mind, one cannot close the line for 1 year AND cannot have canceled line 90 days prior to take advantage of new discounted lines/promos or keep old discounts/promos.

Basically it's a way for Tmobile to "force" you into a contract plan if you want to keep those discounts/credits/promos that tie to those lines.
Thanks. L6..L8 should be the same plan as the existing one. You are just BYOD and porting in the number for the promo. Based on what I have read in the free line on us thread, it appears that lines added after the free line was activated, can be cancelled/ported out without impacting the free line status. I would like others to comment/clarify if that is not the case. Thx

That's fine, but I already stated that. If you add any lines that have associated discounts you will reset the 1 year deadline plus be mindful of the 90D rule too.

Example: Tmobile offers free on us line again from 12/1/20 - 12/15/20. So now you want to add that Dec's line on us on 12/1 PLUS combine w/ free iphone 12 w/ trade in. Sweet right? BUT first you MUST re-add L6-L8 (which let's say you canceled 10/23/20 1 month from now after you get your 3 rebates).

So now that L9 free line on us w/ EIP discounts will then change your plan. Let's say you sort out the plan change smoothly (which is not easy mind you if you're on a grandfathered plan or not), you must then keep ALL 9 lines for 1 year to maintain all the discounts ... until statement cycle ends in December 2021.

I found some old unused Tmobile sim cards , but there 's no way to not add a sim card in order to continue with online order, is there any way to register without buying the sim cards. Thanks.

Well, it's not hopeless. Call Sprint to kill your account, then order online through T-mo again. If that takes a few days, you'll have to start a new AT&T cycle, but you'll get a refund for most of that when you port out. Still cheaper than paying $120 to do the deal in-store.
Sprint can't "kill" your account. I've tried.

My chat with T Mobile rep informed me that the Sprint number has to 90+ days out of Sprint/T-Mobile to be eligible for the promotion. The safest option is to use numbers that were not in Sprint or T-Mobile network in the last 90 days. If you hear otherwise please let us know. I am in the same boat with a couple of lines in ATT (before that in Sprint) that I would like to port over as my gift cards are in the mail at this time. I can use my wife's SSN inn T Mobile to avoid conflict with the account in Sprint that is in my SSN. I am going to wait till this weekend to see if there is some clarity on this deal.
My T-Mobile chat rep via messenger said the complete opposite. They told me that even though I was with Sprint less than 90 days ago, I would still qualify for the T-Mobile promotion.

I'm not sure if they know what they are talking about, but I have the message saved so if I don't end up getting the promotion, I will be able to fight it and likely win.

I just got off chat and my rep also seemed clueless. He said I wouldn't qualify because I wasn't away from Sprint "long enough." When I asked how long is "long enough", he couldn't even give me a number.

It might be safer at this point to just bring numbers that were never on Sprint/T-Mobile

Yes, you can cancel L3 AFTER 1 year from the date you added the free 5th line (2020 Line on us 2) or you will end up losing BOTH your free L4 and L5 and any EIP discounts on L4 and L5

Do not add any more lines that require discounts or your 1 year will further extends.

For example you could have canceled your L3 on 7/1/2021 (say you added L4 on 6/28/20). However, today you add free L5, now your new 1 year resets to the date after the statement cycle that includes 9/22/2021. Wait until that statement closes after 9/22/2021 before you cancel paid L3.
Thank you. Great explanation. I appreciate it.

Even if max 4 rebates, It doesn't have to be all at once right? I can do 3 now with opening a new account and then 1 a few days later?

Sure. I've been w/ Tmobile for a long time (18 years). So I'm just paying forward. Got a lot of good tips here on SD and reddit too!
