That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

This process is different from my previous T-mo BYOD deal in April this year. With that deal, they shipped me 4 BYOD SIMs. I then called Customer Care. For each number, the rep asked: the SIM #, the phone number I want assigned to it, previous acct#, PIN. She also asked me which number I wanted to designate as the account owner.

My 4 SIMs are to be delivered today. I'll see if I can figure out how to do the activation/porting by myself. If not, I'll call or chat with a rep.
Mine is also on the UPS truck expected to be delivered later today. My approach is to put one of the 4 SIMs in a moto e6 (free from Visible Big Grin) and then call 611 to activate all lines. I will report back on how things went.

Yes, I got the email with the temp numbers yesterday. But I didn't start the porting process thinking I would have to provide the SIM number for each line. Anyway, I'll the porting when I receive the SIMs today. I'm in no hurry because I'm using new Ebay numbers, and my AT&T numbers were already ported out to H2O to die.
when its time to redeem GC do all phone get the txt to redeem or just the primary phone line

Yes, best to wait if you can. They may or may not ask sim no during porting.

When I did the previous deal, each phone received a text with a link to claim the reward. There's also a web site to check/claim, but you have to remember which claim code goes with which phone. If you don't remember, you can't check.

Hi Guys - Hoping you can help. From the BYOD page, I ordered 4 sim cards. There's a promo code field at checkout, but I received an error message when I entered "2020BYOD1". Does the promo code have to be entered at the time of the sim card order? When ordering sim cards, the site doesn't even ask which numbers you're porting? Something seems strange
Follow the steps at the bottom of the Wiki on the first page of this thread. You enter the 2020BYOD1 code as the very last step (likely at least a day later) after account setup and after # port-in. Do port-in as a separate step after your T-Mobile account setup; call T-Mobile to do this.

Without the physical SIMs, how do you know which number goes with which SIM?
The port-in process is just replacing T-Mobile's assigned # with a port-in # so knowing which number goes with which SIM card plays no role in the port-in process if your new lines have assigned #s. But you can definitely wait until the SIM cards arrive to do the port-in if you want to. If your question is that you're concerned about getting 4 SIM cards in the mail and not knowing what phone number is assigned to each, you can place each into a phone and look up its number.

Don't you also lose a hard credit pull and need FOUR unlocked phones? If approved, they'll text you links to redeem those GC. I don't know if it's needed to be 4 different phones though, but rep told me I do need 4 unlocked phones hence "BYOD", lol. I do have 5 phones, but they're being used w/ 5 different lines already. Any suggestion for easier method to avoid 4 more unlocked phones?

I'm still mulling this over. Seems almost doesn't worth the headaches for netting $700ish? What happens if it takes 3 billing cycles, since you cannot time it perfectly and cancellation is NOT pro-rated. So then net even less than $700... Am I right?
After sleeping on this one mode day, I decided to pull the trigger. Got four numbers, secured Hookup code (thanks, Reddit!), registered one of the four numbers on the "Insider" portal. Order for 4 lines (Magenta) has been placed; they are supposedly shipping SIMs "Ground" and not the Second Day Air as some mentioned. Will see. (*)

Hoping it all works out. And yes, I do happen to have four older phones I can use (two Nexus 5s, one LG Artisto, and one Pixel 2).

(*) UPDATE: received follow-up call and spoke with an agent. She bumped my shipment to "Second Day Air". Cool!

The Wiki has port-in before filling out the rebate form, while OP has it in reverse(steps 4&5). It does makes sense to port-in first though. I did it like what OP wrote. Let's see if it goes through.

Is there any simple way to erase a zombie Sprint account completely so T-mobile system won't redirect you back to Sprint for the promo?

Hi hpham_53,
Thanks so much for the help you offered from AT&T thread. I want to do this Tmobile deal, but I read from some discussion that I will not be able to do, because I was a Sprint customer, just ported out of Sprint and will be flagged when trying to register account for this deal, is this the case ? I guess you have the same situation like me, how did you do this deal? Use family members SSN? I used to have no credit check account with Sprint BYOD, I can not do this deal with credit check account this time? Thanks.

Go read the first post of this thread. Lots of good info including a list of which services qualify for port-in.

What phones are you guys using? By BYOD does it mean we can't use T-Mobile phones? Is Sprint locked phone recognized as T-Mobile phone?
I think the phones should be unlocked. Sprint locked imei may not qualify. They want folks from other carriers to come to tmo

You can check the imei on T-Mobile byod checker
