Received the sims on Friday, Just called and ported all 4 lines to replace the temp #, then create an ID to log in, I saw 4 magenta lines showing $140 with auto pay discount applied, could anyone let me know if this is correct charge? I read here that the hookup discount will be applied in a day or two? Am I right on this? Thanks.

Are you asking how to OBTAIN a hookup code, or how to REGISTER a hookup code?

To OBTAIN a hookup code, the Wiki tells you how. If it's too confusing, here's a summary:
- Option 1: go to the Reddit site mentioned in the Wiki, wait for the codes to be posted by T-mo insiders several times a day, and compete with unknown numbers of people waiting to snatch one.
- Option 2: open a free account with Discord, submit a ticket asking for a Type 1 code, wait for someone to respond to your ticket with a code. There's no guarantee how soon someone will respond to your ticket.

To REGISTER a hookup code, there's a link in the Wiki to do that (I added it this morning).
Yep i found it. Before registering i reached out to rep and he told me hookup code and $250 cannot be combined. May be he is lying?

Edit: now he says those can be stacked. Wow

Thanks again... i just got a hookup number, that's why want to proceed.
But since i have a hookup code, i will get 4 att port in number from ebay.
if i open my account online myself, might be too late to meet activation by oct-1.
and looks like the 3rd line free on us is gone, too.
so for Magneta 4 lines will be $160 now

Thanks!
If you order online today and happen to have a rep follow-up with a phone call (to verify the order), you may get a bump to a 2nd day shipping and your account will be activated (with temp numbers) on the 30th. But there is also a chance it will not happen. So maybe pay for an expedited shipping when placing an order - it should still be cheaper than paying 120 for the in-store set-up. Your call. Key thing is to have an ACTIVE account by 10/1 (or is it 9/30). You have 30 days to port.

Originally before port $120
$10 AutoPay Discount
$20 2020 3rd Line On Us 2 (Additional Lines)
$20 2020 Line On Us 2 (Additional Lines
$10 AutoPay Discount

After port it changes to this, still showing $120

$10 AutoPay Discount
$25 2020 3rd Line On Us 2 (Additional Lines)
$25 2020 Line On Us 2 (Additional Lines

There is a pending change under account, probably is the hookup discount

Does switching from Cricket Wireless qualify for rebate? Chat rep is saying "No"
It's not looking very promising. The last two reps I spoke with said no.

If you want to port to ATT, the biggest challenge you may face is getting the order approved from ATT. ATT orders are hit/miss. High chance of getting order rejected. Even if the order is approved, you have to wait 2 days to get a SIM card and Activate. The next challenge is how quickly you can port out of ATT? If i remember correctly, it takes 2-3 days for you to set the PIN on the account. And also, ATT does HARD CREDIT Check, so think again before you move to ATT.

If you ask me, i suggest don't tell them the carrier name, rather give the T-Mobile rep just Number and ask if the number is eligible, and also save the transcript.

If you still not convinced, better jump to Verizon, following are the advantages
  1. No HARD check for BYOD.
  2. You can select Pickup SIM at local Verizon. Even you can grab SIM from Apple and then place the BYOD order at Verizon.
  3. Once the line is activated, you can port out within 3 days to avoid any kind of charges.
I just spoke with a chat rep and tried to ask for confirmation using only the phone number. She wouldn't proceed without me telling her the carrier. Looks like it's best to use an alternative option rather than taking a chance. I think there are a couple options. Will post soon...

According to previous T-Mobile $200 BYOD rebate, T-Mobile will honor your rebate as long as you place order by 10/1, just need to follow up with T-Mobile if order by 10/1 but account isn't activated by 10/1....thought the system go by activation by 10/1 for auto-approval on the rebate....

Have you ever been with Tmobie before? You want to do this as a brand new customer (so select "guest" for now) but they system will be able to eventually track you down...

You have done a similar deal in the past? Can you comment on how true to the 6-8 weeks Tmobile really is when it comes to issuing the cards?
Yes, I did the previous T-mo $200 Deal in April this year. Although the terms said 6-8 weeks (see attachment), T-mo promptly texted the reward links to the phones at 30 days after activation. I transferred the Virtual GCs balance to my bank overnight at no charge, and closed the account at about the 75th day. Got a partial refund about 4-6 weeks later by a debit card.
With Sprint now part of T-mo, I hope T-mo doesn't pick up Sprint's bad habits with prolonged GC processing, denying rewards for silly reasons, etc.

Not sure, they may. I completed my entire order on the web and got a follow-up phone call about 5 minutes after I clicked 'submit' from an actual person to 'verify the order and make sure it was legit.' The rep was super helpful (did not charge me anything in terms of support fee) and also upgraded the order to the 2nd Day shipping.

I already bought 4 tmobile sim card at nearby tmobile store. Can I still open account online or I have to open account via phone call? Also do they require 4 device IMEI? Can I just tell them I will install them on my unlocked devices.

IMEIs are not required to order the SIMs, or activate SIMs, or submit rebate requests.

So considering another chat rep stated that Cricket lines will not qualify for the $250 BYOD promotion, it's seeming less and less likely that any will get approved. I'm thinking it will be safer to go with one of the following options:

Option 1:
  • Add my five Cricket lines to the Military Magenta plan with no BYOD promo ($110/month for 5 lines).
  • Buy 4 ebay ATT numbers and port those to the plan for a total of 9 accounts. ($185/Month for all 9 accounts + $28 one time fee for ebay accounts)
  • Submit BYOD rebates for ATT numbers and keep active until rebate pays out. (Approximate cost is $150 for 2 months...paying $75 for 4 of 9 TMO accounts)
  • Cancel 4 ebay ATT numbers and keep the five Cricket lines active with TMO. (Back down to $110/month for 5 TMO accounts)
  • $1000 BYOD rebates - $28 (Ebay) - $150 (2 months service for ATT numbers with TMO) = $822

Option 2:
  • Add one Cricket line to the Military Magenta plan with no BYOD promo and then add 4 ebay ATT numbers with the BYOD Promo. ($110/month + $28 for ebay accounts)
  • Keep Cricket account active with 4 lines until the rebate pays out. (Approximate cost is $200 for 2 months)
  • Replace ATT numbers with 4 Cricket numbers.
  • $1000 BYOD rebates - $28 (Ebay) - $200 (2 Months Cricket service running in parallel with TMO) = $772

Option 3:
  • Add one Cricket line to the Military Magenta plan with no BYOD promo.
  • Port 4 Cricket numbers to Verizon and then port from Verizon to TMO within 3 days to avoid service charges.
  • $1000 BYOD rebates. This option would get me the full $1000, but 2 of the Cricket accounts are out of state, so it seems like this would be somewhat difficult to accomplish with the switching back and forth. Wondering if taking the $178 hit for Option 1 would be better.

Something else to note...I was told I qualified for the 20% Hookup on the Military Magenta plan. However, some reps state the military plans don't qualify. It doesn't mention this in the terms though, so not sure what to believe. I also have confirmation in chat from when I signed up, but not sure if they'd honor it or not.

I'm trying to see if I can confirm whether or not I will get the 20%. However, if I don't, I'd be better off taking advantage of hookup code type 2 for the discounted phones. That'd be better than nothing...

You don't need IMEI to activate the SIMs. Just call the customer care line to open your account and activate the SIMs. Of course you will a need an unlock phone to test the SIMs, and also to receive verification codes if needed.
