That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

thank you. not sure why the terms state "within 30 days of purchase." doesnt the promo expire on 9/30 or 10/01? not sure if anyone should take the risk and wait 30 days past the stated promo period if people were to open new lines today.
I have this question also. Do we need to submit the form by 10/1 or just activate the lines by then?

Purchase between 9/18 and 10/01. Submit within 30 days of purchase. These are pretty common rebate submission terms. You can't expect people to submit the rebate on the day of purchase.

Is it based on purchase date or date activated (porting)? Thanks

appreciate the clarification. then i dont understand why the chaotic race to try and get things submitted ASAP before 10/01? if people make their purchases right up to 9/30, it should be OK right? I wouldnt wait until 10/01 just in case, but 9/30 should be OK if what you say is true. even if people make their purchase on 9/30, they have a lot of breathing room. +30 days. maybe im not understanding something here. do SIM cards need to activated by 10/01 and used within a device?

i guess my understanding was wrong. i thought you had to submit by 10/01.

Already I reported my success story from the store visit in this thread. I opened new T-M account after removed my social from Sprint account by tech support over the call with store rep.
Did you deal just with the store?
I couldn't tell from your post if you also dealt with a tech support rep, too.

I received my first bill for $140 (Magenta with 4 lines). Bill says includes $20 autopay discount and line on us discount for $19.44. I submitted Hookup code for 20% off but seems like it didn't apply. Is this correct? Someone in this thread said they were charged $96 for 1st bill?

based on their story, sounds like all of the above and its very YMMV. be ready to do a lot of work. meaning, just because they didnt deal with tech support, doesnt mean you will be as lucky.

I am not 100% sure about the activated by date as all my SIM cards came pre-activated already, but I would assume you have 30 days to do so also if not pre-activated already because you can't just expect people to activate it on the same day they order it online.

The following are the terms from the Sprint BYOD promo, which is the same promo as the T-Mobile BYOD promo, but with much clearer terms on the purchase date and submission date:

Let's get started

Make sure your phone is active before registering

Offer number 2020BYOD1

Customers can get a $250 Rebate when they BYOD, activate a new line of service, and port in a number.

Purchase dates
09/18/2020 – 10/01/2020

Submit By:
10/30/2020

Might be worth it to do a lot of work to get rid of the zombie Sprint account. It will likely fix itself in a couple of months but that's not guarantied so might be worth putting the work in so when something that you like comes along, you are ready to go.

thank you for the clear details. this helps a lot. this info should really be in the wiki. based on this, i would guess activation would be defined by purchase date vs when the SIM is delivered and a device activated with a SIM. if this is the case, people have plenty of time. at least two more days to simply make a purchase and do whatever is needed after 10/01. there shouldnt be a rat race to complete everything by 10/01 unless the purchase, SIM activation on device, port in needs to happen by 10/01 which is what I had thought originally.

The terms even state "Complete port-in and register code within 30 days of activation." The submission deadline is 10/30. 30 days after 10/01. To me, this means buying your lines by the deadline, but everything else can happen after.

based on the size of the merger and the IT nightmare, i would attack the sprint zombie account ASAP. i doubt it would resolve itself. the holidays are coming up and Im sure there will be many more TMO promos. as you said, its worth the effort. ive never had sprint. so i dont have this issue, but if you do, then yes. go for it.

something doesnt make sense. why does your magenta plan have cents after $140? it should be a round number with taxes included. what do you see on the promo/discount page?

go to your "Account" page and under "Plan Details", what do you see? you should see something close to what prior comments always share:

Plan Details
Magenta $140.00/mo

Applied discounts and promotions:
$10 AutoPay Discount
$20 2020 Line On Us 2 (Additional Lines)
$10 AutoPay Discount (Additional Lines)
$20 2020 3rd Line On Us 2 (Additional Lines)

something like the above.

your first bill will always be strange, but i dont know why you see $19.44. Something is wrong.

tell us how you registered. online or at retail? did you buy devices? do you have insurance?

also, is that screen from the primary account owner? you should be able to see a more detailed screen as the primary.
