This doesn't transmit Mic just the audio output. Is there any adapter that can transmit the mic from bluetooth headphones and receive the audio as well?

The gulkit version has a mic adapter and the Bluetooth receiver as separate, I was looking for just one thing that can do both since the 3.5mm slot for nintendo is capable of both audio and mic.

i think it's the same reason why my VR headset doesn't support Bluetooth headphones. it seems like the Bluetooth 4.0 motion controllers use up all the wireless bandwidth available, so if you want to use wireless you have to go with some other method like 2.4Ghz USB headphones. even my PS4 pro headset has a USB dongle.

Just wait for a Switch Pro. You know it will support it.

Wait for the Gulikit Bluetooth adapter to go back on sale if you have any concerns about a case. I use the Nintendo grips so I was concerned about something not fitting. The Gulikit has been outstanding and is low profile while plugging into the USB-C port.

I got this Gullikit for Father's Day. It has horrible delay with four different pair of BT headphones. Which is a contradiction to the myriad reviews. I still use it for music (Smash & Super Mario 3-D All-stars), but for gameplay, it is a complete failure. Breaks my heart.

The reason the switch doesn't support bluetooth headsets is because regular bluetooth has much too high latency for playing games, anywhere from 1/4 to a full second of delay. aptX LL (low latency) was designed specifically to solve this, but most headphones don't support it, and so nintendo didn't want to be in the position where they advertise a feature that actually wont work for most people who would then blame nintendo. Easier to just not enable it at all, and let people get 3rd party accessories, and blame them when it doesn't work (Just look at all the people above saying various adapters have horrible delays, not realizing it's the fault of their headphones and not the adapters)

I got this one a while back, plugs into USB port and is low profile, actually supports 2 headsets at the same time: https://www.amazon.com/HomeSpot-B...B07L9SL7ZT
I am happy with it. If you really try, you can detect the smallest amount of delay with my aptX LL headset (maybe 20 or 30ms) but it's not really noticeable in normal gameplay. (versus the 200 - 1000ms in regular bluetooth)

A lot of bad reviews and warnings against the vendor. Probably isn't worth it.
Unless it's 5.0 to 5.0 I feel like you can see the delay.

Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed for the OG-style Switch to come in stock at Best Buy or Amazon. Frustrating it's this bad right now with scalpers.

Ha. I always assumed the switch already had BT for audio.
agreed. in this day and age, this is pretty sad that they cant figure this out. its not like it hasnt been around for over a decade.

Bingo. Not sure why you were voted down. Latency would be unplayable.

There is no edit to the original post what is fast stream?
A proprietary codec like aptX. Hard to find headsets and receivers that support it.

Here's a pack I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

But the headset is pretty gnarly, so Iuckily my Hesh 2 headset supported FS anyway and therefore worked fine with that receiver. Works great for Fortnite, Killer Queen Black, etc.

Here's a link to the Hesh 2, though I paid much less for mine: https://www.amazon.com/Skullcandy-Bluetooth-Headphones-Microphone-Rechargeable/dp/B00NCSIN4W/ref=sr_... [amazon.com]

EDIT: another FS receiver + headset combo: https://www.amazon.com/Avantree-B...ics&sr=1-3

if you search on amazon for the gulikit one and wait a few days you'll get a targeted facebook ad where the seller will refund the price of the usb-c dongle for a 5-star review.
