Apparently we can earn 5% eBay Bucks. 5% of $800 = $40 which might be what another user was taking about.

the lens is fine as a kit lens, like other kit lens. if you have a TOTL phone, it probably take better picture. I've this 6400 and a bunch of sony lenses. But my Iphone Pro is my main camera, unless the place is very dark, then I will take the 6400 plus a 35mm prime. Thinking about selling everything and get a new 7c and a 50mm prime to even beat IQ from a iphone
Love how this gets downvoted. My iPhone 11 Pro Max takes much better photos of not equivalent to the amateur eye than most entry dslr cameras.

There are tons of videos out there comparing the iPhone pro to top of the like cameras - and half the time they don't get it right when comparing photos blindly.

I own an alpha 6300... I can hardly tell the difference.

Pair this camera with the Sigma 16mm f1.4 lens and it becomes the ultimate vlogger or indoor camera setup.

This is one of the best cameras for live video streaming. $760 (w/ $40 eBay Bucks) is cheaper than a "body only" deal... sell the lens for $60... now at $700.

But, yes, get a wide Sigma lens and start your Live Feed! Haha
Hey Jeremy can you DM me your setup as well for live streaming

This camera is great.. I would definitely recommend this for video and pictures. I use the Sigma 16mm 1.4 for videos and landscape and the Sigma 56mm 1.4 for portraits.

If just for basic PC live streaming, would this be better than like a 4k logitech webcam? Huge price difference that's why I'm asking

I use the Logitech C922 and can't stand it. Been waiting for a deal on the A6400, but with this not having a warranty...

If you're not going to be using it for other videos or photography, or if you're not going to be streaming a lot, then it's not worth it either in price or effort to get set up, especially if you want a nice lens, stand, capture card, etc.
If you want to get a more professional look without spending quite as much money, I would try to get a used a6000. You'd still need the lens, stand, capture card and whatnot, but you'll spend less on a body that has more feature than you'll actually use.

Is it for selling on Etsy? You can get away with using even your phone's camera. Myself and several friends sell on Etsy and I used to use a full on lighting setup with a nice camera before finally switching over to just my phone's camera after seeing a negligible difference between my listing quality vs my friends who just used phone cameras with their product on a bench next to a window. Have good lighting, and play with the photos in a simple photo editor and you'll be off to a good start. Check out some YouTube videos for photo composition to make thumbnails stand out. Good luck!
Thanks for the sharing Smilie
Yes, we are selling on Etsy, but would like something to take pictures with white background.

a6000 overheats... so does the a6100 and a6500 for that matter...

also, the a6400 has the "flip forward" display... which is good for previewing your shot while streaming... the others do not...
