For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

Absolutely amazing deal, I got this TV a week ago and love it, picture quality is amazing in HDR and gaming looks so much better than my 3 year old Samsung ks8500 (that broke).

Thanks for the heads up, will price match as soon as this goes live.

Edit: just noticed the warranty, will I have to do a full return / rebuy to get the extra 2 year warrenty?

Slickdeals Newbie...if I buy this now thru Costco online can I just price adjust? Seems so...just looking for validation : )

As a side question, anyone have a better option than these legs that are still too far apart for my current stand? I wish they'd all go back to center.

Product listing online states 3 year warranty. You will need to pay with a Costco Anywhere VISA to get the extra 2 years.

Sony TV quality and durability has gone down a lot over the years, but at least if they keep dropping prices like this, we can't complain too much. Are we approaching disposable 4K XBR TVs?
Costco website shows three year manufacturer warranty for this TV. Using Costco Citi Credit Card adds two more years, effectively covering the first five year of ownership free of cost, not to forget 4% cash back. There is a peace of mind with that kind of warranty. In five years, who knows where new tech will be?

The coupon says 5yr "manufacturer's warranty". To me, that means no costco citi card required. If not, they made a mistake.

I am guessing 65 inch is the higher volume model now that they want to move, and don't expect a similar sale on 75.

Great deal. Wish they'd put the 55" on sale. Did they change the warranty from 3 to 5 years on this TV, or is that a typo on the flyer?

I have the 65" in my living room, and it's only 3 years warranty from Sony.
I just got the 55" from Greentoe for $899 including taxes.

Couldn't disagree more, they've really amped it up these past 2 years, they're going hard again. Samsung on the other hand is declining dramatically in quality and TV lifespan. Though I agree that Sony definitely lacked the 6-8 years before.
