For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

Posted in another thread, but figured I would share here as well. I got this TV 2 weeks ago to replace a 2019 TCL 6 series 65" that had audio dropout issues (tried replacing the TV and still had the issue with the replacement).

I am beyond happy with the Sony 900H, huge step up in picture quality (which is saying a lot since the TCL was pretty darn decent) and I actually immediately prefer Android TV over the Roku the TCL has. If you are at all on the fence on this TV, don't be... it's fantastic and at this price it's a total steal.

By the way, everything you may have read about it being calibrated out of the box is true... I didn't touch anything yet and it looks fantastic.

I gave you a like for the idea but so you know if you bought Oct 25 technically the 30 day window ends Nov 23 (unless they go by the day of the month) and BF is Nov 27.
I think Costco has a 90 day return policy on electronics? This is a great deal. If something better pops up for BF then I'd probably just return this one

Called amazon to return my X900F bought a month ago, even through already 2 week passed return window. Gonna grab this one next month! Great deal!
In the same boat but I am still in the return window till Oct 7th. Do you think this TV will be significantly better than the 900F?

with 70$ more, you get newer version go TV and better warranty. I think it's worth for the hassles. Btw, amazon is coming my house to pickup the TV, so easy return for me.

Dang! I just bought this TV on the 11th at Costco. I'll have to see what my options are to get that price.

Congrats to those who listened and kept their powder dry. Prices on TVs should continue to fall in the fourth quarter. It's been a bad year for TV manufacturers between COVID, market saturation, and offering consumers few reasons to upgrade. Put a Sony X900F next to an X900G next to an X900H and play the same content...most people couldn't tell the difference.

I saw this tv has banding issues to hard to ignore. Have they been fixed or are they still bad on this tv? (example banding appears in video shots of the sky). Thank you in advance for anyone's feedback on this.

Bought this tv in store 8/28/2020 and then price matched to the last slick deal at $1169.99. Do you think Costco will let me price match again on 9/30/2020? It has been an amazing tv and I really don't want to have to return it just to buy it again.
I'm in the same boat. Planning on rebuying / return. I have slight vertical bars on scrolling pictures with a light background (like the sky) so I can at least compare models and return the worse one.

Sony TV quality and durability has gone down a lot over the years, but at least if they keep dropping prices like this, we can't complain too much. Are we approaching disposable 4K XBR TVs?
yep, Also segmenting features and functionality by price points
