For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

If you set the delivery to late Oct, does the 30 day price adjustment start at delivery or time of purchase? Trying to plan for any BF price drops if that's a possibility.

I am sorry if this was covered throughout the thread but can someone explain to me the warranty and how Costco + the Sony warranty work? Is is 5 years from Sony if anything happens to the TV via normal usage that they will replace it? Does it matter which credit card I use to purchase?

Got the X900H from Amazon for a few bucks more 2 days back solely because I can get 0% for 18 months financing. That deal is back on Amazon today.

It's $969.99 if you have a My Best Buy account. I would save on shipping, but Best Buy offers a 1 year MFG warranty as opposed to the 5 year MFG warranty with Costco.

9-10FT is fine for a 65" 4K. My fiance and I currently use a 65" Sony in our living room, and it's completely fine. I previously had that same TV in my den which is the same distance. You'll have no problems using a 65" HDTV with that distance.

My rule has always been whatever the width of the TV is how far back you should be... especially for 4k.

5 years is directly from Sony. You call Sony if you have any issues. Costco and CC don't get involved. Years 6 and 7 are handled by Costco and credit card.

Warranties are different from Insurance. You don't get it replaced if *anything* happens to it. If it falls off the wall, that's on you. If the picture dies in 3 years without obvious physical damage, that's probably on them. It also doesn't guarantee a replacement. They may decide to repair.

It doesn't matter what credit card you purchase with for the first 5 years. If you want years 6 and 7 for free, use your Costco credit card.

Others in the thread said 30 day price adjustment starts on day of delivery. The latest delivery date for me was October 26, so that's what I got. Would've preferred later but at least it covers up to Thanksgiving.

Wasn't sure what mount to get. Got the Sanus full motion they had in store for $120, which didn't feel like a slick deal.
