For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

Wow, thanks for the info. Thats the only reason I went with Amazon. I am not 100% sold on the TV so I want an easy return process where I dont need to ask a friend for help or rent a van lol

I'm going to wait till November. Every month this TV keeps dropping in price. Also want to see if Sony actually comes thru on the promised update in time for the PS5. I actually wont be supersized if its still not available.

Not necessarily 100% true. Costco's shipping policy on mattresses may be different than on TV's. If you purchase a TV online, Costco not only ships it to you, but if there is a problem they will have a shipping company pick it up too.

This is absolutely factual, as I purchased a Vizio from Costco which is defective (it randomly turns itself on) and Costco has the shipping company picking it up tomorrow. Talk about perfect timing. nod

Warranties are different from Insurance. You don't get it replaced if *anything* happens to it. If it falls off the wall, that's on you. If the picture dies in 3 years without obvious physical damage, that's probably on them. It also doesn't guarantee a replacement. They may decide to repair.

It doesn't matter what credit card you purchase with for the first 5 years. If you want years 6 and 7 for free, use your Costco credit card.

If you buy online you can return by calling or on web, they will pick up from your door, I did it once.

Best buy matched the price. It is good deal because better warranty than BB, but not a super good deal, I think there will be better deal on Black Friday.
