Main question on this is if it has a built-in fan, and if so, it is loud and on all the time. I bought one from site (and it was a reputable brand, not junky or anything), but it his this tiny screeching fan that is on all the time! It's OK to have a fan that comes on under heavy load to cool the electronics, but some just always have it on (which wastes power too). I don't this model is like that, but just a warning. Actually I like that this is is small and probably would meet my needs and better than the others I have (provided it doesn't have a loud fan, of course).
EDIT UPDATE: This is SILENT which is great. At this price (which might be a normal price for this from HD; I'm not sure), I will probably pick one up. Even though I have a number of other small inverters, I like the small size and silent operation. I have larger ones like 300W but usually I don't need that much power. If you want something larger like for a Microwave, you will need 1000W and up, and those need to be connected directly to your battery, not a lighter plug. So for little things like I mentioned above, this is nice, plus keeps with my all-DeWalt decor. (except for some Milwaukee things too...)

They are good for breast milk pumps. Never found another use
Not sure what that would be besides breast pumps, as mentioned above.

Most of these brands do have car-powered (lighter-plug) chargers optimized for that purpose (so you don't waste power going up to 120V, and then back down to charging voltage). But they tend to be expensive, about $100 for the name brands like DeWalt, $50 for the Ryobi one. So this can do the job much cheaper. But if you do it all the time in a remote location with no AC power, you might opt for the 12V-powered one.
Also if you get one of the newer sets with a "Fast Charger" that can charge a large battery quickly, those can suck a couple of hundred Watts, so those would overload this. For basic model chargers this would be fine. And I've heard that slow-charging a battery is actually better for them anyway.

In contrast, Ryobi has a battery-powered inverter:
