Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

The reservation of the code seems to work but I'll know once I get the phone and continue to submit the rebate.

Preorder the S20FE then go look for type 3 hookup code. Enter it with your phone number. If your preorder is tied to that phone number and the code is not used, it will ask you to go to the page where you need the IMEI. Now the hookup code will be tied to your phone number and no one else can use it. Well that maybe wishful thinking but I tried it again in incognito mode. Enter phone number and code and it asked me to log it, then it proceeded to say I already start the submission and I can click on that to continue. Hopefully it will be there once I get the phone in my hand.

No screen cracks allowed. I haven't seen anyone comment on other areas of damage.

No, it only requires you to purchase a 5G phone on EIP.

Read the SD post i linked in the original post above. It details what the codes are and where to find one.

No, as long as you don't attempt to get another phone promo that has bill credits on that same line, the credits for the FE will continue (just make sure they've started first before paying off the phone).
Are you sure about that? I loose the existing credits on the line if I get a new phone?

Im
on swac too. I see the trade in option on my sprint app. Are you sure your line is eligible for upgrade?
Yes. In my sprint app, it says, "You're new eligible to upgrade to your next device!" But no trade in option though.

Quick question about the device: Does it do the pulse ox for Samsung Health? I don't see a finger reader... so no?

Cant seem to checkout online to add a line. On final screen the "Accept and Continue" is grayed out.
Same here. I couldn't place an order from a computer or in the app on my phone.
I had to order through DM's on Twitter.

I have simple choice plan and I would trade in my p3a xl for 500 off. Would the hookup code give me any additional benefits?

Is it on the page that you enter credit card info? Some people mentioned earlier that you need to manually put in the dash (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) in the credit card number for it to work.

Hi everyone, I placed an order this morning with trade-in, but did not apply the type 3 code. Can I still cancel the order and re-order it? Thanks in advance.

By the way does the hook up code require local employee to send me the code, or anyone at tmobile can send me the code? People on reddit are mentioning their location when they request the code, that is why I have this question.

Just placed the order via 611.

Rep took off the $20 service charge when I asked and free overnight shipping.

Trading in an S7 that I am not using. It's such a great deal.

Thanks. Was on hold forever. I'll try that instead.

Hi. You do not need to cancel the order and re-order. The Type 3 Hookup code is to be entered on a different website and is somewhat separate from the order placement process. The Hookup code can come from anyone, not only local employees.

I created a write-up that may help.

Take care,
Tofu Vic
