Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

$70 accessories credit really makes this even better. That should be in the OP or Wiki then. So once we get the phone IMEI, we go into the Shop Samsung app and register for this promo?
That what it says in the promotion link.

Your code isn't reserved for you. The people saying their codes are reserved are confusing it with type 1 codes.

For type 3, it's free game until claimed
I guess if you received from TM rep, it won't be game. However, if you picked up code from public forum, it'd be game. Sounds correct?

1. Most of people with S20 or newer use FHD+ instead of QHD+ since the 120Hz refresh rate only works with FHD+ setting. FHD+ with 120Hz looks great.
2. I've seen Galaxy Note 20 back and it looked fine. I'd go to Best Buy and check Note 20s since it has basically the same back panel.
I think you should get it if you don't plan to leave T-Mobile anytime soon. If she doesn't like the FE, you can just sell it as well.
My Note 10 has WQHD+, what does it bring?

Is this better or worse than an s10e?
It's better in nearly every way. This is basically an S20 with a plastic back and a lower screen resolution.

Anyone know when this is likely to end? There is max 12/line... thinking of ordering a bunch of pixel 3a's off ebay for this.... need IMEI in hand though it seems. Did one purchase in store today. Needed IMEI first... maybe phone or online orders dont require it?

Is anyone concerned with the Gorilla Glass 3 on the S20 FE instead of the new Gorilla Glass 6?
From my understanding it is more likely to crack when dropped.
I'll probably just get a glass screen protector to be safe if dropped in this case

Here's my experience:

1. Ordered S20 FE for $699 payable via EIP of $29.17 over 24 months

2. "Check Order status" in my T Mobile line now shows:
a. Pre-Order S20FE FG
b. Trade In Device SM-G930T Galaxy S7 32GB Black value $23 (LOLZ!)
c. Print Shipping Label with RMA details for free shipping to Assurant

3. Using my tier 3 code with my T Mobile line number on https://insider.t-mobile.com/register now shows "We found your promotion. 2020 T-Mobile $200 Off." Screenshot is attached. Payment in the form of a prepaid Mastercard. It also confirms that we have 30 days to register the code after purchasing the device.
NOTE: The screen shot is right before the "Let's register your details" page. You will not be able to get paid without the IMEI #.

Assuming that we're get the $500 credit over 24 months after Assurant receives the trade in and the $200 card comes though, this is a very SLICK deal. Please

Please make sure to rep the OP!!!

I have 10 lines in my Simple choice account . I want to upgrade on a line that I am not sure I will retain after 2 months. Can I upgrade the phone on a different line which I intend to keep but would not be using to activate the phone ? Does the phone need to be activated on the same line as I am upgrading ?

How did you get the IMEI number to continue with registering the code?

Yes I have ordered the phone already. Unless of course they give me a wrong code, which is quite possible given everyone is looking for one now.
This was the same message I got before the order, but after the order I am able to redeem the code and moved to the next screen to enter the IMEI. I think something is wrong with your account preventing the redemption. Also check the status of the code on the inside page and confirm the code is still valid.

I would sell the Note 9 and buy a cheaper phone to trade personally.
