Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

Anytime I try to add a type 3 code I get this error message:
Unfortunately you are not eligible for this offer. Please contact T-Mobile Customer Care by dialing 611 from your handset to complete the qualifying offer requirements.

I'm trying to add it before purchasing the devices. It gives me an option for my phone number and code and regardless I keep getting that error. Am I doing something wrong?

I ordered my s20 FE on 9/25 and got a Type 3 code from T-Force FB. The IMEI popped up in my account under EIP around 4:30pm today 9/28. Entered code and IMEI for the first time at the insider website, entered phone number and info. Done!

All plans should be eligible so I'm not sure what we're doing wrong. If anyone knows please let us know.

"All rate plans are eligible except Value Essentials."
Grandfathered plans, such as Select Choice, qualify. This promotion will not mess up grandfathered plans.

I have the July costco B2G1 deal and applied for their $100 BYOD rebate (still waiting). Will this one stack (Tier 3 $200) stackable with that?

Are you kidding me? If you're staying with TMO. . .$500 trade credit for an s7, no add a line needed.

Updates to Android 12, 3 years of security updates. 50% larger battery, that is new no less. 6.5 inch screen vs. 5.1. 120mhz screen and 5G (that I turn both off). Better camera. More bands. 128/6 vs. 32/4. The list goes on and on.

That's $200 to upgrade for the first time in 4 years. If you think spending $50 per year on your phone over the edge ($200 net for the new phone for expected 4 years usage by your standards), then why are you on TMO and not on a very cheap MVNO instead?

Next year your S7 will have $0 or $100 trade in value, meaning you will spend more in the end waiting until S21. If not this deal, then soon! Good luck. . .

And if you get the Type 3 code. . it's net free (after taxes). Are you eve considering NOT doing this upgrade?

Anyways, go to the Tmobile reddit thread and then find the sub reddit that deals with Hookup. Click on the Discord banner on right side of screen, subscribe to Discord, then proceed and click on Hookup-info on left side of the Discord, and take a ticket # (like at a deli) if they are still not in shut down mode still--they shut down tickets to try and catch up to orders. If so, check back later. . .

SOLD! Thank you, I needed that push. Now I need TWO type 3 codes.

I wonder what they will say about the water in phone S7 i supposed to be able to go into the water?! !!

i bought an s8 and did the a71 5g trade in last month. was using the pixel 3axl before and the a71 has worse wifi signal, more dropped calls and worse connection. i mean i can live with those things, but would it be worth it to trade in the 3axl now and $200 more for the fe?

i'm trying to get the hookup code but so far no luck...
