Love Civ VI. iOS version is a great port, performance is good as long as your not doing massive maps. Bummed there is no discount for people who have the PC version who want to play on their iPad as well.

I have iPad Pro 2018 and it runs so slow. I think I picked 4 races and Pangea map. I can't say for recent iPad Pro but at least it was waste of money on my end.

Gathering Storm is great and takes the mechanics from Rise and Fall. The only reason to grab Rise and Fall is if you want the additional leaders, IMO.

For extra fun, grab the Ethiopia expansion, or the New Frontier Pass for the Secret Societies!

Every year I play exactly one civ game. I break down and install it, instantly lose an entire week of my life, bills and errands piling up, then come back to my senses and uninstall.
