Stupid question: why is the point of having USB ports on a TV?
They can also power smaller devices like Roku Stick or LED lights on the back of your TV for mood. Assuming their is enough power in the usb but TV's this size will support it just fine.
Stupid question: why is the point of having USB ports on a TV?
Some streaming devices are powered by usb connectors (several models of Roku). There are also usually ways to make a TV rotate through pictures on a USB stick and sometimes software that lets you run presentations or other things from them. You can also use it to charge other devices.
Snagged one on Amazon for $998, but then read this deal. Subsequently cancelled my Amazon Order and set this for curbside pickup today from Best Buy. $30 is $30. Also, I can return locally as need be. Debated GeekSquad Protection, but only for a second as $130 is far too big of a % of the total price to justify. If this were OLED, I would, but the main reason I am buying this to not fret over burn in. Now, if SOny would just release the firmware update(s) now listed as Winter 2020 and Spring 2021 (on Amazon).
Great deal assuming Sony releases the firmware, otherwise consumer fraud!
Thanks!
You're not alone. I'm returning my 65" CX OLED. The picture was phenomenal for the most part, but the motion handling is horrible. My model was defective out of the box. There's a line of dead pixels on the left hand side, and my settings kept reverting. Also the judder is bad. I didn't want to have to baby my TV so I'll use this one for the next five years, and I'll decide what I want to buy down the line. Saving almost $2000 is nice a well.
This new pricing worked out great. I had bought one for $1169 from best buy a month ago. Should be able to get price match.
BTW, this tv is awesome for the price. I mostly watch Netflix and prime on it. Im very, very happy with the picture quality. The one thing I did do is to run a narrow strip of black electrical tape around the frame. It has a very narrow shiny silver band which is distracting when light reflects off it.
