129 for the echo show 10 seems decent? I want that 2 for 229 deal to come back. I need to buy two of them.
Why not 2 HD10s for $160?

How fast is your internet. If you don't have >200Mbps down, you won't feel the speed difference (unless you are doing lots of large file transfers or streaming downloaded 4k content).

I have 100 mbps. But I game online and stream all content.

Thanks OP! Even if I don't buy anything, the promo of adding $40 into my gift card balance and getting $10 free on top of that is really good!

Agreed, over stock liquidation. Marked up so it can be marked down. Just because it's on sale doesn't mean it's worth buying typical bullshit. I've been out on prime days since they started.
There are usually handful of items worth buying, especially if you get the bonus $10 credits for buying things you already buy.

I don't think you understand what WiFi 6 is.

Just FYI the Fire Tablets make great cheap tablets for your kids. Not sure if the upcharge for the kids version is really worth it though unless you have really clumsy kids (2-year no questions asked replacement guarantee).

I chose the kids version because it comes with 1yr freetime subscription and that it's padded lol

Anyone have any opinions on Fire Hd 10 vs Fire Hd 8 plus?
I REALLY want an answer to this one also, kaos24, because I have read where a lot of the fire 10' screens crack easily.

So... nothing good.

Why is Prime Day always so overhyped?
Sadly, living a life of obsessively tracking deals makes it so that most "big sales" are disappointing.

No matter what I'm buying... Laptops, furniture, clothes, steam games, nintendo games... There's always a "big sale" and I'm always "oh I already got this as part of a buy 3 get 1 deal from an obscure third party site on a 1-day sale in the middle of June using my bonus credit cards, store card, coupon from ebay, stacking discount codes, and cash back site for -$2.50.

For normal human beings, prime day is a good time to buy stuff.

Easy solution is to buy a Hootoo Travel router (it has NAS functions and an Android app). Works great to serve movies from a USB. will serve multiple devices different stored content simultaneously! great if you have kiddos and tablets or phones.

or just buy a USB OTG cable and hook a USB right up to the Chromecast and use VLC or MX Player.

I did that exact thing and the Chromecast still did not work. With the Amazon stick,i wouldn't need to run that setup either.

Eero mesh.... wonder if its worth waiting on the new edition with wifi 6?

I suggest you get the wifi6 to be future proof.

There are many articles out there that will give you more Info.
Here's a useful one-

Honesty, unless your internet is likely to increase in speed over then next few years, you'd probably be fine with the Refular Eero. I got the 3 pack for $145 a few months ago and like it. The Eero Pro gives you a wirelss back haul channel for the Eero to talk to one another vs using 2. 4 or 5GHz. Especially important if you plan on daisy chaining them for more range (I don't). It probably comes down to prices vs future proofing. Do keep in mind that the customization is very very limited if you're used to a standard router.
