Yeah, there was no PIN any where in the manilla envelope this arrived in. It was just a TF fold out square box (don't know how to describe it), with a big, folded paper TF terms & conditions paper glued to the middle. The top, bottom, left and right sides of the box fold out.

Anyways, I was able to finally activate it after 2 different chats and 2 different phone calls. They had me insert the original SIM back into the phone, and transferred the minutes/texts/data onto the phone and all is working. Unfortunately, they only credited me with 1200MB of data. (The rep actually said "Oh, you got the 1200minutes, 1200texts, 1200MB data plan for $60" and I said "No, I got 1200/1200/3GB for $30" and he goes "Nooo... it's 1200MB") Whatever, it's for my 76 year old father, he isn't going to use that much data and the phone works, so.... ?
The PIN is not in the envelope, it is on the SIM card (at least it was in my case.) The physical SIM card has a bar code and a number starting with 89148 in a box at the bottom of the card. Below this box it says "This is your SIM CARD NUMBER". At the top of the SIM card there is another box with a bar code, but no label. It has a number starting with TF256PSIMV... That number was the PIN I gave to the chat agent to get my plan applied.

Preloaded sims have no pin, you're confusing people. I've bought lots of these over the past year & there's no pin.

At one time some of these (mostly the no specific network choice) did come with separate activation cards that had a pin but they stopped doing that months ago & replaced with preloaded sims for each network.

I tried entering that TF### at the top as the PIN, and the website would only allow numbers. While I was on the phone with the first agent and also the 1st chat, with a different agent, they both said that it wasn't a/the PIN code.
So on my 2nd chat, I asked if the SIM card was loaded with the prepaid. He asked for the IMEI # of the phone I was trying to use, then the 3GB/1200MB chat from above happened, then he asked "Would you like me to activate those minutes onto that phone?" Um.. yeah!! All is well now. Hopefully this can help somebody else out, or I look like an idiot laugh out loud I've activated 4 or 5 phones with TF now, and the website process has never worked. Chat or phoning in has always done the trick, albeit after multiple attempts.

I've been able to add these online in past but since they started sending empty sims it's safer to have agent verify and load. Easiest by chat since they seem to be more knowledgeable & you can get copy of transactions.

This is correct, and only issue with Verizon. With VZ as a network, it attaches the minutes/balance to the device.

Apologies if I'm confusing people, but that's the number the chat agent used to add the preloaded service from the new sim to my current plan (I gave it to them when they asked for the PIN.)

Could be. I wasn't sure what they were looking for when they asked for a pin, and that worked. I just know I got my year extension and 1200/1200/3 GB applied to my current sim when I gave them that number.

I just checked and all 4 of my Verizon SIMs from this deal have the same number

TF256PSIMV97TD

So it's definitely not a PIN

Thanks for clarifying, and, again, apologies for muddying the waters. At this point I'm just grateful that I appeared to get lucky and have 2 years of service from this deal and the one earlier this year.

I can confirm that using another phone extends the expiration for Verizon. I activated 3 SIMs, first one myself, 2nd one agent, 3rd by providing IMEI for another phone. I would just turn off any active/unlocked device, use that IMEI, activate SIM, and use the new SIM on that TracFone.
Are you saying you were able to stack 3 years of Verizon by using a second device? I am currently 4 months into my first year of Tracfone on Verizon, but I did not buy this deal based on other reports that you could not stack Verizon to Verizon. If it is possible with a second device, I will keep an eye out for the next time this price is available. Thanks.

Yes, you can stack. But if you buy, I'd recommend you call CS, and have them add that to your existing account, in which case, no new device is needed.

No carrier choice SIM is available for $49.99 Item# 283493024108.
I bought that exact item and it only came with an AT&T sim card, so I am returning it.

Same here, when I received sim I went to site & item showed small "GSM" on front of pkg - they changed it. I had ordered before & received the 3 sim kit.

My Verizon SIM is empty.

Edit:
1. I am using a BYOD unlocked iPhone.
2. Return was easy: a return shipping label was provided right after filing a refund claim.
3. Don't forget to leave a *negative* feedback on eBay for the seller!
I received an empty Verizon SIM too. Found out after switching. However, instead of switching back to the old SIM and doing an eBay return, I emailed TF's eBay store customer service ([email protected]). Gave them the SIM card number and my phones IMEI. It took a day for them to respond, but my account now has the missing plan credited.
