I contacted AT&T multiple times, and finally found someone who was willing to look into my account. He told me that I was locked in for the $800 since I selected iPhone SE 2020 at time of purchase.
I suggest you try to chat with AT&T and get confirmation. I am still not receiving my trade-in kit yet. The rep said that I have to use the kit to mail in the old phone in order to receive the $800 credits.

Between 12 pro and regular 12 it's no telephoto lens at all on the non-pro, and no LIDAR- also smaller storage size options (64/128/256 vs 128/256/512)
There's some more photo/video feature differences due to the missing sensors on the non-pro
Oh and pro has brighter display
Regular 12 and mini are the same other than screen and battery size
Oh there might be a difference in RAM, but Apple never publishes info on that officially.
That is your price difference

Same with the route of going to a corporate store. They'll price it at $90 on the spot, they can't override the pre-established prices or retroactively honor what the deal was.
They probably got flooded with SE2's early on.
Im shocked iPhone 8 still qualifies as of now tbh

im still curious about waiving the upgrade fee. have others done this with FAN? I want to , eventually , but I don't want it to blow the deal

He also credited me $30.24 to cover the activation fee.
For now, I still leaning toward trusting AT&T. If they are shady, they would not even ask the trade in model when placing an order.
I could be wrong. And I saved all kind of conversation and ready to fight..

I guess if you got the wheels turning before it's fine but more for NEW people that want to cite the old deal and trade in their SE2 and get t the ball rolling today, will be SOL I would imagine.
