Just ordered the 750 with almost 40% discount as well....hope this was a good buy as i have no experience with Vitamix.

Upon further thinking, I see what's going on.. There must be a lot of left-over units because of reduced restaurant/home demand. And they are clearing those at cost basis. So, it doesn't mean one can buy the 5200 at this price every year.
Also, in support of those who pay $400 for the 5200(or full price for any other product such as a laptop or a smartphone), such people tend to take good care of the product and use it for longer time than those who buy it for cheap.
Bottom line, as there are billionaires and those who make $1 a day and all kinds of people in-between, there are also people who pay $1200 for a new iphone, those who pay $49 for an iphone 7 on sale and all kinds of people in-between.
The 5200 can use the 20 ounce cup but you need a personal cup adapter plus the cup. I had that set up for about a week and hated it. I felt it much easier from a cleaning and blending standpoint to just use the tall container and dump it in a personal cup.
