If you are not a heavy data user, say less than 3GB monthly, major savings are available. I was with Verizon and all the costs just kept adding up. Monthly fee, line fee, 911, taxes, regulatory, on and on....

Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.

My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.

My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.

Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

So then your monthly bill will be $15+ taxes for 1GB.
so the phone + 15 and the text and talk is cheaper due to having service already?

Sounds like a good deal if it's under 60 for a 12 pro max on payments.

One really nice thing about XM is you can add a phone for zero dollars. For example, once my daughter gets her 12 for Xmas, I am going to activate her Xs for my 10 year old(not ready for him to have a phone phone but for zero dollars a month it will at least be a fully usable phone(that doesn't have to have WiFi to call/text)in the house in case he or my 9 year old need to use it(will have data turned off). They currently use old iPhones on WiFi as iPods but might as well have one actually have a number just in case since we don't have a home phone.

This is definitely an advantage for families or groups of devices on the Xfinity mobile unlimited plan. The only thing is they all share that 'unlimited' data pool, meaning the first 20gb or so of full speed 4G/5G (I forget if the allotment is higher now due to COVID) is shared between all devices. But if they surpass that 20gb it's still unlimited just with a lower priority in congestested areas.

I too thought it's not shared unlimited. $45 per line for their own unlimited is how I read it.

In my experience, YES, you can get it unlocked if it's paid in full......

But someone in this thread reported that he/she was able to successfully unlock their phone through a phone call.
Yes, that was me! Link to Post
I successfully unlocked THREE iPhones during this offer period.

Does anyone able to get (or atleast see in Xfinity reward center) both 50GC for byod/porting and 250GC for upgrade??....I spoke XM rep and they said for 50GC, you need to be using "BYOD" qualified device for 90 days and since I upgraded after a week to a new Iphone, I won't be eligible for this 50GC..

For Xfinity Mobile customers, is the bill really just the Plan cost? Any taxes and fees to be aware of?

So if a family plan of four users shares 10GB, the total bill would only be $60 total/month?

There are most certainly extra taxes and fees. This past month with three users (1 on unlimited, 2 on the shared 1GB of data), the total taxes and fees were $12.37. Last month it was $13.76. It's usually an average of $4-5 per user in extra fees and taxes.

Has anyone experienced issues with their phones switching over to wifi on its own while driving? I was driving down a main road with my with and she was trying to access a website but had bad internet because the phone had switched from LTE to wifi on its own. I know XF has that "Feature" where they let you use their XFinity WiFi hotspots, but it should not do it automatically or at least their should be a way to turn it off. This is a deal breaker if it can't be turned off.

In Florida, here's the extras on a $12 bill:

Taxes, fees, and other charges$1.52

Taxes, fees, and surcharges
911 Fee(s)$0.40

FL Communications Services Tax$0.40

Local Communications Services Tax$0.15

Other Charges
Regulatory Recovery Fee$0.12

Universal Connectivity Charge$0.45

So yes, about 12.6% of the actual charge.

This is what I fear about going to XfM. I don't want to connect to slow WiFi hotspots and have it hold on as I go out of its range and have frequent connection and speed issues. From reading the terms, it seems like you can turn off the auto switching feature. It may only be turn-offable on the per gig plans.
