If you are not a heavy data user, say less than 3GB monthly, major savings are available. I was with Verizon and all the costs just kept adding up. Monthly fee, line fee, 911, taxes, regulatory, on and on....

Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.

My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.

My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.

Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

For Xfinity Mobile customers, is the bill really just the Plan cost? Any taxes and fees to be aware of?

So if a family plan of four users shares 10GB, the total bill would only be $60 total/month?
My bill for 10 gigs and two paid off phones was $65.70 last month

This is what I fear about going to XfM. I don't want to connect to slow WiFi hotspots and have it hold on as I go out of its range and have frequent connection and speed issues. From reading the terms, it seems like you can turn off the auto switching feature. It may only be turn-offable on the per gig plans.
You can adjust the settings for each Wi-Fi network on your iPhone. Find the network under Settings -> Wi-Fi, press the "i" icon and disable Auto-Join. Unfortunately you have to be near the network for it to show up in the list, but once you have done that you should only connect if you explicitly select the network in the future.

Does anyone able to get (or atleast see in Xfinity reward center) both 50GC for byod/porting and 250GC for upgrade??....I spoke XM rep and they said for 50GC, you need to be using "BYOD" qualified device for 90 days and since I upgraded after a week to a new Iphone, I won't be eligible for this 50GC..
I just ported in my phone byod last week, I didn't see any reward showing in my account yet, I am planning to upgrade my phone soon. did you see the $250 showing in your reward center?

I ported 10 days ago and still don't see the $50 BYOD reward on xfinityrewardcenter.com. I called and they created a ticket which apparently will take up to 2 weeks to resolve. I'm also planning to get the $250 upgrade reward after the BYOD reward shows up.

That's a good idea. I didn't wait to see 50GC before upgrading and now they are saying I'm not eligible

CS said 90 days, but I am not sure if I can still get it if I upgrade my phone in this window.

Yes, that's what they told me since I upgraded in 10 days after porting that I am no longer eligible for 50GC. Would only be eligible for 250GC

Based on an earlier comment in this thread, it seems we were able to get both BYOD GC and 250 GC. Did they change the policy recently?

I hope they didn't change that, I called to ask for my $50 reward, the CS doesn't know anything, said I will get it in 60~90 days, which I dont think it's true, bc it did not show up in my reward account.

The GCs showed up in Xfinity Reward Center automatically for that user without having to call CS. I suspect that if you call them, they will tell you that you can only get one of the promos.

Lately, it seems like many people are having to call CS to open a ticket for the $50 GC promo. To try to get both promos, you should wait until you at least see the BYOD GC show up in Xfinity Reward Center before trying to get the $250 device upgrade GC. That way you will still appear eligible in the system for the BYOD promo if you need to call them about it.

The T&Cs for the BYOD/device upgrade promos both explicitly say "May not be combined with other offers". Stacking the promos will likely be YMMV, and the more that people call Xfinity about stacking them, the more likely Xfinity will look out for people who've qualified for both and cancel one of the GCs.

Does anyone know if the 2020 Iphone SE is an upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy A50? My wife has the Galaxy A50 from XM and is wondering about going with the new Iphone SE. Can anyone comment on the pluses and or minuses of that? Camera, etc?

Thanks,

-Guru

I have had xfinity mobile for over two years with just one line. I added a new line this afternoon to my account. Can I upgrade both lines tomorrow? Not sure if xfinity requires a line to be active for certain period of time before being eligible for this promotion.
