1) Going directly with T-mobile, using the iPhone 8 as a trade in will net you $415 off instead of Apple $140 + $150 Rebate Card. $415 vs $290. No brainer. Granted the Tmo deal is bill credits, but if your staying with Tmobile, who cares.
2) If you don't want Bill credits, BE PATIENT. Costco will have an offer soon if they don't have one already that will usually mirror T-Mobiles direct offer except with a prepaid card instead. Will beat Apple's crappy offer.

I am thinking about this Apple deal because Costco had issues with the XS stock back in 2018. The pandemic won't help this issue much at all either. I wish you can buy online from Costco, but you can't at this time without paying more than at the kiosk.
$350 + $150 gift card for the iPhone 11 seems like a decent amount back?
T-Mobile documentation now states that you can pay off your current EIP and keep existing credits, while allowing you to sign up for another recurring device promo.

But the big assumption is that tmobile continues this policy. If they change to be like ATT, then that would derail everything.
But you qualify for the $300 deal directly through T-Mobile.
If you are a 5+ year customer, there's an additional $200 rebate on top of that that you could potentially qualify for.
14% off for the target apple gc deal + $150 in a month. I hope they offer this again soon since I need some more for a second phone.

I am on T-mobile for 4 years so not eligible for $200. So is it worth going ahead with this offer?
IF you do monthly fee X 30 + phone acq cost, you might come out on the top for swithcing.
The iphone 12 Pro is in a new form factor. It's same weight as iPhone XS. almost identical size.... Camera is better and things are faster. The real game changer this year is iphone 12 Mini Only 135 Grams.... we have not had a phone this light in long time. and iphone 12 ( unlike last year, iphone 12 pro and iPhone 12 shares same screen. )
If you do not like iphone Xs's heafty weight, change to 12 or 12 mini. Everyone is pre-ordering 12 Pro, but the real winner this round is 12 mini IMO and 12 160G insteand of 190 g)
