Not a bad price. Would rather have $799 without all the crap kit
Some camera manufacturers don't allow their dealers to sell at a deep discount, that's why dealers throw in a bunch of crap to make it seem like a good deal. It also makes the camera more difficult to return (you have to ship back every single item included in the "kit", otherwise you don't get a full refund).
fark this is a good price. But the lens is very soft at f2 and the X100V solves that problem. I'd be all over this otherwise. I'm hoping the X100V gets at least some version of a price drop for black friday.
Grey market (but I think this Newegg deal is, too). $800, none of the crap. Ships from China, but ships fast, I got my X-T3 and 35mm f1.4 in 2 and a half days from order to door. 1 year seller warranty, but no experience with their customer service.

That makes sense. I figured it was something like that, but you laid it out pretty well. Thanks for cluing a few of us in on that.

The softness at f2 is mostly in close focus, you wouldn't notice it if you were e.g taking a portrait at normal distance. But bad for product photography or something (but that's not what this camera is for anyway)
I have had 3 iterations of this camera (original, 100s and 100t). It's very fun to use but I have always ended up selling them because I need the versatility of a changeable lens. If I could justify 3 bodies, I would get the 100v... that looks great.

I am exactly the opposite. I moved to X100 line because I wanted to have decent and compact fixed-lens camera. I used to have "regular" kit with several lens but more often than not I left them at home due to the weight and size of the kit.
Also, worth mentioning that you'd get 3 lens with X100 line if you count wide and tele converters.
And for those who don't know about that line. This is very good camera. But you need to know what you buy and figure out if you are OK with the limitations (single prime lens + 2 converters; no weather sealing).
Also, keep in mind - it uses proprietary FUJI sensor (X-TRANS) rather than standard Bayer one The image quality is fantastic but you may need to get additional software if you want to do RAW post-processing. On the other hand, JPEGs from the camera are very good and often do not require additional touches.

Nice! That X-T4 price is tempting.
How do you like the X-T3. I recently got back into photography and chose Fuji APS-C ecosystem. Looking to go up to IBIS on the XT4 someday (shooting on the XT200 for now; hopped in on the $500 kit deal). But, the XT3 seems like an f#@#% classic

Excellent post. My friend has 100V and used to have the 100T. He loves his new V. He does very little editing and likes the convenience of getting good jpgs as a result, but occasionally will do some post editing from raw. This camera is always with him everywhere...lol...everytime i see him, he has it with him. He used to have a NIkon D90 and i've only seen him use it at xmas and parties. He even jogs and bikes with the 100V . I This camera was made for him!! He posts pics almost right away after taking them. Not sure how he does it so fast. I get pics via text from him really mornings of sunrise when he goes out jogging...lol
The X100 series cameras are great for hobbyists and artists. A fixed focal length forces you to be more creative. I had the first version and loved it. IMHO the biggest limitation is the lack of image stabilization.
Love the x100, the original got me to switch from full frame canon to the x-t1. As bad as I want another x100, I just started carrying around my x-t2 with 23mm f2. It's not as compact, but offers everything with better control for me since I've been using the X-T line for years. I use my x-t3 for work so no need for an x100 at the moment... but dammit I still want it lol.
