I had a chat online with onnsupport and they registered for 2 years of warranty. I had no issue in that.
And if yes, please provide me with the link where you had the online chat. Thanks

Yes it is the same model. Here is the link to the website. https://www.onntvsuppor
Okay, the model number you have provided is not supported by us. This model is manufactured by a different TV brand. Please contact 8885162630.
When i pressed them on it, they responded...
ONN is a Walmart brand. And they have different TV manufacturer. We are the Element Electronics manufacture.
So I called that phone number again, and they are Walmarts Onn TV support line. They told me the same thing, that this model and all other onn black friday models have a 30 day warranty only. Ridiculous
I see you responded below. The agent told me this model number 100021258 is only manufactured by Hisense. What a PITA
The element model number is 100012585 and sold on Walmart at link below..

I called Hisense, and they do not provide a warranty for this model TV either.

I heard they have two manufacturers. First is hisense and second is elements. Some people got from hisense and some from elements

Thanks for checking this. Just to clarify if I have 100021258 then that's only valid for a 30 day warranty? What kind of joke is that it's shorter than most holiday return policies. Mine is probably going back too...

Here's the issue - my cable box is HD - but the picture quality looks very underwhelming. I even downlaoded the youtube app and when watching the videos, despite being on the highest quality settings, my videos also look non-hd. I really don't get why. I essentially have the factory settings - any suggestions on settings to weak perhaps?
I haven't tried this yet (it's a gift), just hoping it's good. I also got the TCL that was on sale for myself, and that one finally popped up the option to buy a warranty but the Onn didn't. I wish I would've grabbed the warranty when I bought the TV, thought I probably wouldn't want one but would have the option to get it later if I changed my mind. Since this is a gift for someone that I would be troubleshooting problems or buying them a new tv if this dies, I realized the warranty does make sense even on a cheap tv. If I find another really good deal on another tv for myself, I may just give the tcl as the gift and return the onn.
Mine works perfectly fine but I am returning it for insignia 50 inch. Supposedly, it is better than ONN
There is a thread at Roku website with this bug - https://community.roku.
You need to post on this Roku thread documenting the problem on your ONN tv. It's possible that Roku might issue a bug fix for this problem through a software update but only if enough people complain about it. Otherwise, I wouldn't count on this bug being fixed period.
Overall, fairly disappointed. I tried calling Walmart warranty support per wiki phone # and their only option is to return it. I had it delivered to my home, and they want me to drive it to a store but my car is too small to fit it nor do I think I should have to as it is clearly a widespread bug on these TVs. At least I purchased the 3 year warranty for $13.
Just an fyi to anyone wanting the warranty. I know most probably don't, but I bought this as a gift for the MIL and I'm sure if it dies I'd probably feel the need to replace it for her, and probably with another 50" whether there happened to be a deal on one at the moment or not. So to me it's worth it to get the warranty.

Also, when you say you have to disable fast TV start and then reboot, do you mean just turn the tv off and back on? Any idea if the bug will affect sound if you're listening through headphones? Thanks for any tips!
