There's also a difference between iPhones and junk phones. iPhones stock is shared between AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint, these lock to the first SIM inserted. That is, you are competing with AT&T and Verizon customers on available phones, regardless of how much stock they have. Cheap junk phones like the Samsung A10, A20, A50, etc are all carrier-specific so Sprint would have its own stock, this may be what your store is talking about.
Awesome. Thanks for explaining. I assume there wouldn't be any sprint branded iPhones. But since they share inventory then seems plausible more are coming in stock. Thanks again!!!

Guys, maybe I'm over thinking this. But not sure if any of this would work. Currently I have Verizon with 2 lines, iPhone X and XS (wife) Wife dropped XS and has water damage through the crack in the screen... she's a bit clumsy. We want to upgrade our phones. I'm ok with keeping my X but newer is nicer Smilie

Can I utilize the Walmart deal where I get 2 iphone 11s and get the Walmart gift cards (which we use regularly so it's as good as cash).

Then I can switch to T-mobile which would reimburse up to $650 per line of what I owe that is on a device payment plan. When I trade in my phone to T-mobile, can I utilize this deal and get an additional $680 trade-in credit for each iPhone 11 that I got from Walmart and upgrade to the 12 or 12Pro? Since they're practically new, I should get the full $680 for each.

Would T-Mobile allow double dipping like that, getting the phone paid off for switching and getting the promotional credits towards new phones?

You need to fully "own" the phones for trade in deals with no pending payments. So you cannot double dip with T-Mo to pay off previous carrier payment plan.

Do you know if I get 2 phones, can I use the first eGC to pay for the second phone? I assume they are paid one at a time?

it does not matter much, at most you can down pay 20% to walmart

the remaining has to be paid to carrier
Is that right? Previously I've heard people using previous gift card to pay down the next phone. Now they put a 20% down payment limit on these? Thanks.

Possible, if you do two separate transactions. Reading your next question, carrier expects most to be financed to keep you on the hook, so you cannot pay a lot to Walmart with the eGC, mostly any activation fees, taxes and down payment which could be up to 20% of the phone cost.

Can anybody explain this deal to me? I am clueless. At the bottom right corner, it said "
$500 eGift Card on Galaxy Note 20 Online Only". Is it payoff or payment?? Does it require adding a new line?
just read some pages, maybe 5-10

Pretty sure you can. it just takes 60 days for the phone to be unlocked again.

Anyone have any insight on what is the best phone carrier to purchase the phone with. I just want an unlocked phone within the 2 months, without paying much for service.

This is my question as well. I'm thinking it may be Sprint/ T Mobile as you'd pay $60 plus tax for the 'essential' plan. They don't mention an activation fee in the Walmart ad, which I think makes them most competitive.

There's still no official "pricing" from Walmart, right?

If it's going to be like last year they jacked up the prices above MSRP.
