This isnt meant to be for gaming. The dell xps13 with these specs will run you over 1k too. As well as laptops such as the lg gram 15

Besides the size difference, lg gram has removable ram and 2*nvme slots for future upgrade. Where as x1c's ram is soldered and only has 1 nvme slot.
Got an X1 Gen 8 around 6 months ago. Smaller HD and i5 for 1.3k....
The laptop is great. Feels crazy solid, lightweight, amazing keyboard. Great battery.
I use it for work mostly so no gaming. If it got stolen tomorrow I would buy another one in a heartbeat and not bother doing any more research. Was also at the time looking at the Dell XPS 13 and this seemed to be a more solid build,
